Happy Monday, Everyone. I hope all you mothers out there had a fabulous, love-filled Mother's Day! And I hope all you children out there did all you could to make your mom's day a special one!
I thought about Mama Easterbrook and wondered where she might be. She would be proud of her little babies. They're doing so well. They're very happy and healthy and are growing big and strong. As I write this post, they are running around and having a wild time in the living room.
They're playing some sort of game, but I haven't quite figured out the rules yet. It's kind of a tag/hide-and-go-seek combo. You go out-of-bounds if you leave the area rug. I think the scratcher/climber thing is home base. As far as I can tell, Astrid is winning. I'm assuming Thurston is losing because he's under the couch, crying.
Speaking of Astrid, she's a complex little girl. Here's a little collection of images of the many moods of Miss Adstrid Easterbrook. Enjoy!
OH, and once last thing...
A HUGE thanks to all who came by the craft sale on Saturday. It was great meeting all of you! It's always so nice to actually see your faces. Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by to say 'hello'!
I love the little games that kittens make up when they play.. No rules, all-out fun.
ReplyDeleteOMG, what a cutie she is! I love when they have the tongue slighly out. Cracks me up.
ReplyDeleteThe "ferocious" picture is my favorite. Those teeny tiny eensy weensy toofuses are too dang cute. :)
ReplyDeleteShe is adorable. We have those games here too - it gets funnier when mom is involved. Astrid gets cuter with every picture.
ReplyDeleteLove how she's sticking her tongue just a little bit in the last photo. What a cutie!
ReplyDeleteIn the third to last pic, she's totally saying 'cheeeeze!'
ReplyDeleteBlack face + white whiskers just kills me with cute!
ReplyDeleteOh Astrid you're such a ham!! Poor Thurston...no more crying ok??
ReplyDeletePossible comments from Miss Astrid during her photo shoot:
ReplyDelete#1 - To pounce or not to pounce, the eternal question.
#2 - STELLA!
#3 - To be in England in the summer time, with my love...wait, no...Seattle, in the spring, with the Bean.
#4 - THIS is what "fierce" looks like honey!
#5 - somehow I thought with a name like "cod liver oil" it would taste better. *shudder*
#6 - Oh Thurston....let's play tag!
Someone mentioned that Thurston is a crybaby. Can't remember who it was.
ReplyDeleteOh no Thurston! Don't cry little man! That makes me sad and I'm on the other side of the continent, in another country, so coming over to scoop you up and play with you would be rather involved. :D
ReplyDeleteI love the little tongue sticking out.
She is so expressive! What a cutie. She looks like a tiny baby vampire in the "fierce" picture! (Oh, and snuggles for poor little crybaby Thurston!)
ReplyDeleteOh, I love a tuxie! She is so cute! And it sounds like Thurston is turning out to e the crybaby in this little group!
ReplyDeleteIf I promise to keep all their 'given' names, can you please ship them cross country? They can play whatever games they want here in the South East. I love all of them, especially Astrid... Gad!!
ReplyDeleteI wonder about the mommies of the IBKC too. I hope wherever they are they know their children are safe and loved. I hope the mommies got adopted to loving homes too.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful pix of itty bitty princess Astrid. My fave is her 'snarl', incredibly feerce!
ReplyDeleteThurston Dear boy, whassup? Whyfore you cryin'?
