As an elementary school teacher and mom to a cat, I must agree - cardboard boxes are the BEST. :)
PS: If possible, could we please see some more of Sheldon soon? He looks so much like my Boo when she was a baby (and now she's nearly 16!). Thank you!!
Boxes are the most prominent fixtures and furnishings in this house. Four grown kittens all want boxes instead of expensive store boughtened beds. Who am I to complain. I'll cut holes in boxes all day to save the money they save me.
Still, it's more fun when they tuck us in at night and will stay with us in the big bed.
The 5 Mouskateers are back on the Blogs. Y'all come see us sometime.
The kitten sized hole in the side is REDONKULOUSLY cute. Starting 'em young with the box addiction ;)
My 6-year-old cat has to get into every single box I own at least once. I have pictures of him sleeping in an empty soda can box (the long kind; head out one end, tail and legs out the other!)
Such beautiful stripes you have, lovely Miss Phoebe!
And: oh yeah, even senior cats still love boxes! Just last week, my eldest (15) was stubbornly trying to get into a box that was WAY too small for her! I got her a bigger one and then she was happy.
Boop! And boop. Wheeeeeeeeeee!
ReplyDeletePhoebe the brave explorer!

Phoebe knows it is a box for your very own book, Laurie. She can read, among her many talents, you see. She is giving it her seal of approval!
ReplyDeletePhoebe is in training for the upcoming "Other side of the door" marathon!
ReplyDeleteShe has a great start!
Oh yeah, 'cos when you're all growed up you lose all interest in boxes...not! Boxes are kitty forts for ever.
ReplyDeleteWith the exception of every other kitten, that's my favorite kitten.
ReplyDeleteI love that you cut a little kitten-sized door in the box for them!

Boxes are the best toy every, just ask my Skipper who is 11 years and still loves her boxes!!
ReplyDeleteYou know a kitten is small when she is about the same size as a Barnes and Noble mailing label!
ReplyDeleteAnd you know she is cute if she is on IBKC!!
boxes are just the bestest things to play with. I like to chew them and snooze in them too :)xx
ReplyDeleteyep - we agree - boxes are the BEST!!
ReplyDeleteSuch fun. Milo and Alfie still enjoy the cardboard box den their dad made for them when they were itty bitty.
ReplyDelete"Hey, I thought this was a paper flower making work shop, where is every one??"
ReplyDeleteMy cat's are just like this, they love boxes! Even if the box is too small, they are determined to get inside of it!
