For awhile, they would chew on anything - each other, themselves, or any toy within chomping distance. They're bedroom got nicknamed "The Alligator Den".
Thankfully, I think they're nearing the end of it. Day by day, they're turning into well-mannered little lady-cats.
...Almost!
ReplyDeleteMy little girl is ten weeks old and in the nibbly/wrestle-with-anything-that-moves stage right now - funnily enough, she has the exact same colouring as these girls (with a black pirate eyepatch). Her current nickname is Fiesty McBadass. We're working on getting past it...slowly...I hope!
Oh my goodness! I just started laughing out loud at work. This site is NSFW!! :-p
ReplyDeleteAttack of the Vampire kitteh!!! Poor Cheryl lol
ReplyDeleteBetter check and make sure Opal has a reflection!
ReplyDeleteWe don't need no stinkin' manners!
ReplyDeleteOWWW!
ReplyDeleteNaughty, kitty! Charlene has a lot more work to do.
ReplyDeleteOh! That stained glass apricot ear. Be still my heart.
ReplyDeleteLOL that is hysterical!! Love it. That is such a great picture. Thanks
ReplyDeleteThey must be such fun. Love the photos, so cute!
ReplyDeleteMy boys are 4 years & still regress every now & then.
ReplyDeleteThe 1st two pics had me "awwww-ing" but the last is way too funny for public viewing. I almost did a spit-take all over the lunch table!
Yep - we have one of them vampire kittens here now too.....Gizmo is a biter! Mom is hoping he grows out of it soon. :) Seriously cute girls!!
ReplyDeleteThese two McGillicudy gals are a hoot!
ReplyDeleteBut I have to wonder, is Victoria Ann really as ladylike as she seems to be?
I never thought I would make it through the theething stage with my kitten. He's chew on anything that didn't walk away, including my furniture. It looked like I had a pet beaver. Not long after he spit a baby tooth out on the sofa in front of me did it end. Mostly.
ReplyDeleteYay! More Opal! She is a little stinker, just as I thought, and definitely adorable!
ReplyDeleteSheldon and Pearla are still in that bitey stage. Biting each other, power cords, cardboard boxes... me...
ReplyDeleteBitey bitey.
Good thing that all those little bitey kitties are so cute, huh?
These gals are adorable.
Nanette said....It's always the darling, frilly, little girls who have the worst, uh..., cat fights.
ReplyDeleteOoh, yeah, remember that stage with mine too (and my younger one is still a bit bitey sometimes when she's in 'huntress mode'). My priority was to get her to stop biting me, and doing the 'ouch!' kitten yelp every time did the trick.
ReplyDeleteWow, a vampire kitty. What a picture, so cute!
ReplyDeleteNice placement of the photos. I think naughty kittens are more interesting than ladies anyway. Ladies are boring.
ReplyDeleteAwww what adorable, beautiful and purrrrecious kitty girls!!!
ReplyDeleteBut as for the chomping "stage," ...ummm....our 7-year-old gray & white tabby girl (Munchkin--apparently well-named--LOL), gnaws when she is "making biscuits," and has put a hole or two in my "snuggie" lap robe!
*CHOMP!*
ReplyDeleteLooks like there's a little screaming going on there too.. My two youngun's (well, 2 years old..) do this from time to time, and from the sound of the scream from the bitten one, you'd think that they were dying. Just hate it when they decide to do it at 3am.. Guess that it's fun to see Mom jump out of bed in a panic.
Brats.
Ouch! My kitten is 16 weeks and has a biting/wrestling phase, she wants to attack all feets, fingers and arms at night time - why not in the mornings too. I don't know what is the best way to get this behaviour off, now just ignoring or putting her down from bed (when biting feets at night). Help me :D
ReplyDeleteI'm still waiting for mine to grow out of it and they are 7 years old.
ReplyDeleteI got my Sheba past the bitey stage by using one simple rule - petting ends when the teeth come out. Bite Mommy and playtime is instantly over. Didn't take long for her to get the idea.
ReplyDeleteNice photoes ! :)
ReplyDeleteI've looked at this a couple of times today and laughed out loud each time I got to #3. :D
ReplyDeleteYow! We had to train Meow Meow out of nipping us when she wanted our attention, but she was an adult when we got her. How do you train your kittens? (That "ouch!" suggestion above certainly sounds like one way. I'm curious as we're considering fostering kittens in the future.)
