Meet the third McGillicuddy girl. This is Miss Victoria Anne, named by raffle winner, Sarah. Sarah picked this name because she felt it was dignified and royal. How fitting for this perfect kitten princess!
Ummm.. Victoria Anne is not just dignified, it's also kinda southern, imho. It could also be northeastern Catholic.. hmm.. I could easily see someone named "Victoria Anne McGilliuddy" walking through Narrows, Va (Fyi the name of the town is not Nar-rows, it's Nars, and is on the banks of the New River in southwestern Va. I would say while it's not deep in the heart of Appalachia, but it is definitely in Appalachia. Oh and another FYI.. that second a in the word "Appalachia or Appalachian" is pronounced a as in apple, not a as in ape.).
Oh my sorry for all that.. but your girls are southern and for me originally hailing from Blacksburg, Va (Va Tech) I like to think of them as southeastern US, not southwestern US :) and ya gotta know how to pronounce these things so you can teach them correctly! :)
Perfect name for this really pretty princess, a real head turner, she'll no doubt break many a heart someday... It will be fun to find out about her personality and I don't see "Diva" being out of the question.
Nanette said.....Miss Victoria Anne, have you by any chance met the Royal sisters over at "Tails of the Foster Kittens". (Not to drop names, but surely you know Kate and Pippa?) See you at Ascot!
Oh so pretty!

Hello Victoria! You are the spitting image of a kitty that lives with me, her name is Cali but I usually call her "Princess."
ReplyDeleteI feel like I need to curtsy or something....
ReplyDeleteShe definitely has the expression for a little calico purrincess. And I love the black tail tip draped over her paw...placed o-so-carefully!
I'm completely in love with the ginger patches above each of this sweet girl's eyes.
ReplyDeleteVery prim and proper, indeed!
ReplyDeleteOMG three calicos. What could be more beautiful? You always get the most beautiful kittens imaginable.
ReplyDeleteam i the only one who is a sucker for that tiny tip of a tail curled delicately around her paw?
