Our friend Mari, from Finland, selected the name for our sweet little calico.
She wanted to name a kitten after our friend Sue from Pitter Pats. The Finnish form of Susan is "Susanna", pronounced fairly closed to the old-fashioned "Susannah".
SO, this dear little one had been graced with the name "Susanna Rose".
It's lovely. Just like our lovely friend, Sue.
'Cause I came from Alabama with a kitten on my knee!
ReplyDeleteNice that she has a flower in her name because her face looks to me like a pansy in bloom.
ReplyDeleteGreat naming, Mari! Susanna Rose, you are just as beautiful as your name (and namesake)!
ReplyDeleteOh, what a perfect name for a floofy calico! Welcome, Susanna!
ReplyDeletePurrfect!!!!
ReplyDeletePatti
A perfect name for a perfect little girl !!
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect choice of name, Mari!
ReplyDeleteAnother perfect name for this perfectly beautiful and floofy little girl. I see something of the Victorian fluffy kittens (usually wearing big bows) in her so such a nice traditional name is so apt. And so great to have a link to Pitter Pats' Sue. A great tribute.
ReplyDeleteHow adorable! Lovely name for a lovely girl :D
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely name for a lovely girl!
ReplyDeleteJust the right name for this little beauty. :)

ReplyDeleteOh I love that name for her! She is precious.
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed, with all the kittens who've passed through your house, how you (or raffle winner,s or friends) can manage to nail the perfect name every single time.
ReplyDeletewhat a PURRfect name for this little beauty! Well done, Mari!
ReplyDeleteLook at that pink nose!
ReplyDeleteI just looked again and am astonished see that Susanna has been put in the waste basket! What the heck! That girl is NOT trash!
ReplyDeleteI'm Finnish, and I fell in love with this kitten the moment I saw her in that neak peek photo, so I'm very happy she got a Finnish name! <3
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful little lady.
SO CUTE!
ReplyDeleteMiss Susanna Rose Wiggins, she is so freekin' sweet!
ReplyDeleteI love how Melissa's mind jumped to the 'O Susannah ' phrase!
Great name, amazing photo! Like a feline fashion photographer, covering the newest supermodels!
ReplyDeleteShe is precious. I'd spoil her silly.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely and fitting name for such a sweet and floofy girl.
ReplyDeleteI have to ask, it looks as though someone has thrown that little sweetheart away! I think she needs kisses on her nose.
What a cutie!
ReplyDeleteShe's just adorable.
ReplyDeleteSaving the tortie for last, are we? heehee
I think Susanna went dumpster diving to find treasures she and her siblings could play with.
ReplyDeleteShe climbed in the bin all by herself. It's filled with crepe paper scraps from cutting on flower petals and it's really fun to play in.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful little darling.
ReplyDeleteSo very very adorable.
