Look who's inside the Jan/Feb issue of American Girl magazine!
The Fortunato Five!!!
It's a pull-out poster so you can pin one to your wall! Inside, you'll also find a little punch-out door hanger with pictures of Maxine Medley and Albert Livermore.
It's on the stands right now!
Laurie, please tell us how the pictures came to be in the magazine.
ReplyDeleteLove it!!!! If I were a little girl that would make me beg for that magazine!
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteNot much of a story, they just emailed and asked me.
ReplyDeleteOh that's cute! Did they have a little blurb about the kittens and what the story was behind them?
ReplyDeleteNope, just the images.
DeleteThat's wonderful! Those blue eyed boys always slay me!
ReplyDeleteHooray! Such a sweet set of kittens - they set off a sigh for blue eyes every time!
ReplyDeleteOhhh, I grew up with the American Girls (before evil Mattel bought them out even) and had a subscription to the American Girl mag. My worlds are colliding, and I love it!! Congrats, Laurie!
ReplyDeleteDid they make a donation to the Rescue group ?
ReplyDeleteI'm not really at liberty to discuss these details.
DeleteI hope Miss Butterbean isn't jealous.
ReplyDeleteYay! They are so beautiful and it is nice to see them out in the world of print. I know the readers will love them--how can any girl (or person with a pulse) resist such beautiful kittens?
ReplyDeleteI wanna know whether Gaetano ever got help for his biscuit habit.
ReplyDeleteI'm so buying this and putting it up over my desk!!!
ReplyDeleteAs forever mom to Albert Livermore and his brother Elvis(nee Davy), can I just say, "Wow!" What an exciting day for IBKC and the kitties. I'll be getting my copy tout suite.
ReplyDeleteCori, Albert and Elvis
And if you go here, you can see one of the videos that Laurie put together of an earlier Itty Bitty crew:

How great is that!
So adorable! But, what if I'm a Canadian Girl? Please can you show us a pic of the door hangers too? The pull-out poster is super cute, as is the online video link that Karen posted above. Great job Laurie!
ReplyDeleteFabulous! I have no girls in my house, but I think I need to buy this anyway.
ReplyDeleteSuperstar kittens!!
ReplyDeleteHow awesome is that?!
Congratulations! That is awesome!!
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDelete@Karen thanks for the link.
After watching that video, I... I want to live in Laurie's neighborhood, so I can set up a chair on the sidewalk and watch the Window Kitteh Show. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's GREAT!! but I think Rhoda or Norman would have made for much better centerfolds, but that's just me. Still, I LOVE that itty bitty kitties of the needing forever homes type are featured! yeah for foster kitties everywhere!
ReplyDeleteMy only girl just turned 36, but what the heck, I can support any retailer that has pictures of the Itty Bitties! I gather they used your photos, Laurie? They'd be crazy not to, you do such a beautiful job!
ReplyDeleteAnd I still extra-love that bunch of babies. There's something about a litter that has a little bit of everything in it that just melts me. Such darlings!
How great blog, just run into you guys :-)
ReplyDeleteI have two persian cats already but if I had room I deffo would adopt one from you :-)
Congratulations! Your pictures are awesome!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so great!
ReplyDeleteYowza!! What fantastic news, Laurie. !!I am *so* buying this mag tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteOur niece Emma is 17 now, but when she was of AG age, we paid a visit to the flagship store in Chicago every summer. Had lunch in the tea room, attended the play, the whole AG experience. She'll be happy to hear about the Little Centerfolds, too.
Aww...and video of the Anderson-Ericksons! Too cute!
ReplyDeleteMarissa subscribes to this magazine, and already had her door hanger on her door before I found out these were your photos! Very cute! Were these all from the same litter? They all look completely different! She can't wait to tell her friends!
ReplyDeleteOf course I ran to the store and bought a copy, hoping to contribute to a "kitty blip" in sales :)*
ReplyDelete*No,I do not think that's actually possible.
