Pearla Dearborn stole a lot of hearts the second I posted this picture of her. Her little gray coat, button eyes, and pink nose sent everyone squee-ing.
Well, no surprise, but she's grown up to be quite a lovely young lady.
Pearla was adopted with her brother Sheldon. Their mom sent us a nice little update on the pair. I'll share that with you now, and tomorrow we'll wrap up five days of Dearborns with a few pictures of Sheldon.
Here's what Mama Carmen had to say....
I love these little furheads so much it's amazing. Half of the time they run around like complete monsters - chasing tails and sparkle balls and little bits of paper on the floor. They explore every box that comes into the house and any bag on the floor is theirs to own. Then they will go very zen and sit on the kitty tree in the living room and chitter at the birds or just watch the world go by.
Every morning they hear the alarm go off and know that it's a bit of snuggle time before we all get out of bed and start the day. Pearla will curl up right next to me and tuck herself in tight. Sheldon likes to spread out and wrap himself around my arm. I know that we're all doing something right when they stop purring because they've fallen asleep. :)
Everyone who meets them says how sweet and personable they are. I always explain where they came from and how lucky I am to have graduates from the Bean Finishing School!
Thanks so much for the update, Carmen! I love how much you love your kitties! They are lucky to have you!!
Pearla's nose is still the most kissable, boopable nose of any itty bitty that has come through the committee!!! Squeeeeeee!
ReplyDeleteI must admit that Pearla's baby pic has to be one of my all-time favorite photos. She is certainly a beautiful kitty now.
ReplyDeleteLove the morning cuddle time, and I agree - that nose is still so uber-boopable and kissable!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely girl Miss Pearla is :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful too!
awwww - that is an awesome update!! She has grown into a very lovely young lady. :)
ReplyDeleteYep. THIS is what a kitty's life is supposed to be like, which then makes us humans have a better life too.
ReplyDeleteAll the Dearborns seem so loooooooong! Their bodies and tails both. Glad to see them all doing so well!
ReplyDelete:)
ReplyDeleteLOL! This made my day.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Pearla! She certainly has grown into her pink nose. I love the "nose boop" picture! Can't wait to see [not-really-grumpy] Sheldon with his sister!!
ReplyDeleteI was one of the many who fell in love with Pearla at that first pic, and I'm pleased to say that I'm still in love.
ReplyDeleteShe is still breathtaking, and I'm so glad to know that she's still a sweetheart.
I still say that she isn't the prettiest kitten ever to come through IBKC, but she sure was the cutest. That first picture absolutely slew me. My first reaction when I saw that photo was "oh dear lord is that a cat or a cuteness-based mind control device?"
ReplyDeleteGlad to see she's still doing so well!
Glad to see that nose has retained it's exceedingly high boopibility quotient! I'm so loving the updates this week. Thanx!!
ReplyDeleteOooo. A grey tuxie! How cute is that!!!!
ReplyDeletePearla is among my favorites...as are all the IBKC's ;-)
ReplyDeleteI am thrilled to see that she still has that special little "I know something YOU don't" smile. She is too nice for it to be a smirk.
Wow, she is a real beauty. Those pictures are to squee for. So unique too. This really makes my morning.
ReplyDeletePearla!!! What a lovely, lovely gray girl! (happy sigh...)
ReplyDeleteAnd another great update -- it's so fun to hear a little bit about the quirks and traits of all the graduates :)
She is still the prettiest pink-nosed princess kitten in the universe. I love you, Pearla!
ReplyDeleteShe is still the prettiest pink-nosed princess kitten in the universe. I love you, Pearla!
ReplyDeleteShe has grown into a fine healthy lovely cat, a good thing to see. Bean turns out a nice product!
ReplyDeleteLove her so much. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGood to see Miss Perla again! To answer your Tweet about favourites: Litters are the Darlings, mainly Francine. Kittens : we can start with Jerry Lee, Orson, Francine, Drewey and Nigel & Mimsey.
ReplyDeleteok can i once again mention that i am placing $15 for my copy of the IBKC Kittens and Graduates book. you could call it: IBKC Charlene Butterbean's Finish School!
ReplyDeleteShe was a precious baby and now she's a gorgeous grown-up girl! Such a lovely kittycat!
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying seeing IBK alumni all grown up! Little Miss Pearla is beautiful, as are all of her siblings. I'm already looking forward to seeing grown up Sheldon tomorrow. Thanks for the updates!
ReplyDeleteShe was a beautiful baby, but, baby, look at her now - simply stunning! And the morning cuddle time seems cute beyond imagination!
ReplyDeleteShe really has become a long-legged beauty. Can't wait to see Sheldon!
ReplyDeleteShe's soooo sleak and gorgeous! I just want to scoop her up!
ReplyDeleteOh she's lovely-reminds me of my own pretty grey/white girl!
ReplyDeleteShe's SO pink! I mean I know she's a grey and white kitty but her nose is SO pink! Her paw pads are SO pink (my cat is black and her nose and paw pads are black so I'm not used to that much pinkness! She seems more pink than others!) - She's so adorable! I'm loving these updates. I think she might be my favourite and that is saying A LOT!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet face! Although, like Sam Francine Darling will always be my ultimate, Perla's pink nose and white "napkin" are entrancing.
ReplyDeleteJust like Drewey, just younger, and without as much crank.
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to see Sheldon!
ReplyDeleteSweet beautiful girl. Sheldon has to be a real stunner. I went back to the Sunday Morning link and the BOOP! pic. lol

I love how she's kept her look of perpetual surprise. Such a sweet face.
ReplyDeleteShe's GORGEOUS! Those green eyes are amazing and I really can't think of anything better than starting the day with cuddles from her. <3
ReplyDeletePerla looks JUST like my little Freya. She did as a kitten and she does even more, now! What lovely kitties!
ReplyDeleteThere's my favorite little IBKC graduate! Now who is more lucky, Pearla/Sheldon, or Carmen? Such a precious family!
ReplyDeleteHow cute. I love her.
