If you have a chance, please pay a visit to our fundraising page, and look at all the comments. It's so sweet to see mentions of all your favorite seniors. So many special cats.
It's clear you love your big kitties. Thank you so much for helping all of our big kitties at our shelter. Yesterday will really make a difference in the lives of many cats, and the thought that we did that together, does make me a tad misty.
As I mentioned before, instead of doing the art auction this year, we're printing a limited edition poster and we'll be selling them in the IBKC Shop. All of the profits will be donated to the Humane Society.
SO, the poster. It's AWESOME.
It was designed by local artist, Boo Davis. She's a fabulous illustrator and a quilting extraordinaire.
Our dear little Lamms were the models for the poster, and of course you recognize the basket. The poster will be a three-color screen print, and it measures 18" x 24".
I'm super excited about it, and I hope you all love it as much as I do.
It's at the printers now, and as soon as it's done and signed by Boo, we'll be listing them in the shop. I will make an announcement once it's up.
One last thing, our naming rights auctions are up and running. We've got two live now, and we'll be adding two more today. To get in on the bidding, or just follow along, click HERE.
Hurray for all the donations for the Senior Cats. They deserve so much. Can I just say: WOW!! I love the poster, must have one. So adorable. Laurie, you are the cat's meow!
ReplyDeleteCute poster is cute!
ReplyDeleteI love the poster, I'd love to buy one. Would you be okay about sending them overseas, to the UK? (The posters, not the kitties. Though I dunno, if you had a kitten to spare.... LOL!!)
ReplyDeleteYes.
DeleteYEs to the poster, right Laurie? ((grin))
DeleteI only see one live naming auction....
ReplyDeleteThat's because the surname auction just ended.
Delete1. The poster is SO adorable, i am buying one as soon as they are available!
ReplyDelete2. as a lover of metal and a use-to-be quilter, i think i have a girl-crush on Boo Davis.
I MUST get a poster!
ReplyDeleteI reallllly want a poster not just because it is a great poster- but because our litte Zoubi is the featured STAR! She is so excited about being on a poster!!
ReplyDeleteI know. You have to get a poster! Just don't let her lord it over India. :)
DeleteHi Laurie,
ReplyDeleteYour poster is incredibly cute! May I post this on Pinterest? The link back will be to your post and may bring a donation or two!
Also, any chance of getting this on a t-shirt?
Hugs,
Judy
That's fine. Thanks for asking!
ReplyDeleteThat poster is totally adorable! I do hope that lots and lots of them will be available because I suspect that when they go on sale, there's going to be a crazy rush to get them! And I will definitely be part of that crazy rush. :)
ReplyDeleteFor those of us who don't have any more wall space for a poster - how about stickers?? If you made some, we would buy some!!!
ReplyDeleteMugs???
Hmm???
We're sticking with posters this fundraiser, but something to consider for next year.
DeleteORANGE!!!! That will be so wonderful -- I've been looking for something orange to brighten my office (at a university where the school colors are orange and black!). Can't wait to get it! :)
ReplyDeleteO dear...I am nearly out of wall space on my kitty walls, unless I rearrange one. I hope I can get one...still unemployed.
ReplyDeleteI'm with MeowLady - this will be perfect for hanging in my floursecent-lit dingy office to brighten up the space, and my mood!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! Love it..beautiful colors, so bright and cheerful. I will have to have one.
ReplyDeleteI hope you made lots of the posters! I really want one!
