Earlier this week, our Winklers got to explore a little more. As I mentioned yesterday, it was nearly impossible to keep them quarantined for one second longer. They could no longer be contained!
When released, they charged out, but once into the big, open space, they began creeping slowly around the room. At first, they didn't notice Bean up on the window ledge - their noses were to the ground and they were much too busy smelling every single smell to look up.
Charlene jumped down to join them on the floor, and they came cautiously towards her. After they confirmed that she was a friendly being, they swarmed her.
Back to the ledge she went.
It was a little overwhelming for Bean, so she tried leaving the room.
The kittens followed closely.
I let Charlene upstairs to give her a little breather.
And everyone romped, and galloped and ran around the room.
Freedom is fun!
Oh! They are bouncy!
ReplyDeleteWhumpity, whumpity, whumpity, whump! I know that sound---my boys love running up and down the stairs. Which Winkler is checking on the crying sibling? Cute pants. :-)
ReplyDeleteTina & The Kittyboyz
Looks like we have definite track and field hurdler in the group. They just went crazy - LOL. All those Winklers are understandably overwhelming at first. I am sure Bean has them under control now.
ReplyDeleteFlip was the crybaby, and Franklin was the concerned sibling.
ReplyDeleteCharlene has a fan club! Is there anything more adoreable than four Winklers following Madam Bean like baby ducklings follow their Mom?
ReplyDeleteHow sweetsweetsweet to see all the Winklers following Bean like she's the Pied Piper! And the running and thumping --- tooo adorable!!
ReplyDeleteAnyone who thinks 'thundering herd of kittens' is an exaggeration was clearly never around any. They iz loud when they be galloping 'round like crazy things! Thanks for the hilarious vid and pics of Bean and her fan club.
ReplyDeleteIn the first pic, Bean looks rather shellshocked by the Winkler experience and like she wishes they'd find someone/thing else to mob. It's okay, Bean! It'll be over soon! *G*
ReplyDeleteThe pic of the kittens following Ms Bean is as if she is giving a guided tour of house, Ok kids follow me, then she stops at the different sites and explain stuff, the second pic :)
ReplyDeleteBouncy bouncy galloping goombas! How cute!
ReplyDeleteThat second video made me laugh out loud!
ReplyDelete(Wow, your floors are beautiful!)
Lol. Love the picture of Charlene leading her troupe
ReplyDeleteBean is such a good leader! Love the little followers.
ReplyDeleteNothing much cuter than a puff-up kitten tail..
ReplyDeleteLove the Pied Piper picture. :)
Kittens trying to be all tough and floofy will never cease to make me giggle.
ReplyDeleteI totally love the parade (and apparently everyone else does too)
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling meeting! I always want to tell the kittens not to waste their precious Bean Time with puffing up at her, but they looks so very cute when they do.
ReplyDeleteLovely first meeting as usual.
ReplyDeleteCharlene was gorgeous as usual and so elegant as she gave The Tour to the Winklers.
There is not much cuter or sillier than a teensy kitten all floofed up to be fierce, is there? Although a herd of kittens thundering around the house is pretty hard to beat, too. Thanks for the great videos, and I hope Charlene survives the Winkler adoration!
ReplyDeleteThere is a smiley face on the kitten about :27 seconds in the second video! Or rather, their fur pattern makes a crooked smiley face! Which kitten is this? I can't tell who's who when they are romping around like this!
ReplyDeleteI saw that, too! I have no idea which one, but I love a kitty with an emoticon.
Deleteas we say in my household - Thunder hooves!!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet...I can tell I'm going to have fun reading this blog!
ReplyDeleteDebbie (That Cat)
I do love you bookcase Laurie!
ReplyDeleteThat pic of Bean leaving is RIDICULOUS - I squealed!!! She's like a mama duck being followed by her ducklings! Jane
ReplyDeleteI think it's too funny that Miss Charlene (who is truly "a whole lotta cat") would be running away from a bunch of tiny kittens.
ReplyDeleteThat smiley face at 0:25 is adorable!
ReplyDeleteMiss Bean as "Harold Hill" leading the Band was priceless!
