Crafting for Kittens

Crafting_For_kittens

Each month, our friends over at Proctor Frozen Yogurt in Tacoma select an organization to support, and they give a percentage of their sales to this organization.   They call it "Local Love".

The month of July, our Humane Society will be the recipient of their love, and 3% of the sales will be donated to the shelter!

So you local folks, if you stop on by Proctor Frozen Yogurt this month for a treat, you'll be supporting an awesome, community-minded business, and helping the shelter out too.

That's a win-win situation!   And cross your fingers that the day(s) you visit, they'll be serving Dulce De Leche.  It's the best.

They are also hosting a really fun event for us - it's called Crafting for Kittens.

On Wednesday, July 18th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM,  I'll be teaching a class on paper flower making at the shop.   I'll show how to make several designs of crepe paper flowers and everyone will receive a serving of frozen yogurt too!   The class fee is $25 and 100% of that, will be donated to our FUNdraiser.

If you would like to reserve a space, or if you have any questions about the class, please send an email to kittywrangler(at)gmail(dot)com.

Don't delay, class size is limited to 18 seats.

Proctor Frozen Yogurt is located at 2510 N. Proctor, Tacoma, WA.

  3. Laurie, the creative ways you find to help a great cause, and the way that people respond to you with those ideas, just gives me the warm fuzzies. People can be so, so awesome.

  6. Golly, that sounds fun! If only I didn't have such a long commute (~3000 miles), I'd be there in a flash! You really should pay a visit to the East Coast one of these days, Laurie; once you publish that wonderful book of photos of the Itty Bitties, maybe you can do a tour around the country to meet all your fans. :)
