Goodbye Gibsons Pt 1
A few of months ago Erika inquired about adopting a kitten. Of course when someone says they are looking for a single kitten, I always suggest two, because as we all know, two kittens are always better than one.
She talked about the idea of two kittens with her sweetie, Joe, and they decided that two was indeed better, but they would have to wait until they moved out of their small apartment and into a house before they adopted.
Well, they got settled into their new home, and Erika sent me a note letting me know they were ready for kittens.
Pheona was the first kitten that caught their eye, and they decided before the came for the meet-and-greet that she would be theirs.
All of the Gibsons were quite charming the day Erika and Joe came to visit, but Sherman put on the best show, and quickly won their love.
The happy couple came this Saturday to pick up their babies and it was clear they were thrilled to be bringing them home. We were equally thrilled that they adopted them. They'e quite nice couple, and I know they'll make the best kitty parents.
Thank you Erika and Joe!

And they won the gold medal for being such incredible kittens! In IBKC, everyone is a winner :)
ReplyDeleteI can't think of a better house warming present to yourself than a pair of kitties! Best wishes to this new blended family as you all explore your new home.
ReplyDeleteAlways bittersweet! <3
ReplyDeleteOh my, they look so grown up with their graduation medals. Sounds like a great new family in their new home. Best of luck little ones - go forth and be happy.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad they went together! And 2 kittens are better than one. Then the human is not the sole source of entertainment. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope they remember to let Sherman order pizza!
ReplyDeleteOnly if they want extra anchovies!
DeleteSuch a happy story. I am already looking forward to hearing about Pheona's and Sherman's adventures in their new home. Congrats to Erika and Joe!
Mitten Twin powers, activate!
ReplyDeleteBig smile for that one!! :)
Deletesuch happy tears whenever i see one of the kittens dressed u in their new jewelry, ready to go home with loving families. Happy life, little ones
ReplyDeleteWow really did get their "adult" faces! Congrats to Erika & Joe for the new additions to the family. Pheona looks really, really ready to go.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful life, Sherman and Pheona! Sounds like you are going to a super couple. Hugs to all!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is how small the world is: I've been working with Erika for a few months now. I've never met her, never knew she followed this blog as I do. So when I read this today, i thought, how unusual that this woman's name is spelled the same way as someone i know via email. So, i sent her an email asking if it was her. Lo and behold, it is! The world is so freaky... :)
ReplyDeleteGraduation day always comes too soon... and yet clearly Pheona and Sherman were more than ready to go to their new home. Such cuties! I hope they give you, and each other, endless hours of happiness, Erika and Joe -- have a happy life, and don't forget to send photos once in a while!
ReplyDeleteObviously Sherman had decided that Erika And Joe were supposed to be HIS people and that is why he "put on the best show" for them. I have faith in Sherman's ability to pick good human caretakers. Good luck to all.
DeleteJoe and I are in love with our new little furballs! They follow us everywhere around the house, purr loudly in our laps and play like crazy together. We'll definitely be sending photos as they grow - I think I've already taken more than 50 :)
ReplyDeleteYeah!!! So glad to hear!! Thanks for opening your home and hearts to these special babies.
DeleteSmall, small world, Solange!
ReplyDeleteYay for Erika and Joe! These two make such an adorable pair and it sounds like they love their new home. Erika, please do keep us updated with photos. It makes my day when I find new photos on the alumni page:
