I know, I know, I know I've posted his many times before but no matter how many times I watch it, this precious footage of Lambert O. Lively never fails to crack me up, so I'm posting it again. Judging by the number of times I've seen this link shared, it cracks many of you up too.
Even though I know they'll call as soon as babies arrive, I popped into the shelter to see what was happening in the foster room. Of course no available litters, just a few older kitties that had returned for surgery. It' so strange (but wonderful) that it's quiet in there this time of year. Usually in August they are bursting at the seams.
I'm sure our kittens will be here soon. Until then, I'll try to scrounge up a few updates from our Alumni.
I don't know how many times I've watched this clip but I just laugh my head off each and every time. What a kitten!
ReplyDeleteThe shelter I foster for has found itself almost with out cats this past slow time and imported cats and kittens from other area shelters who weren't so luck, and even a few from down south.
ReplyDeleteI too work for the day when I don't have to foster any more, but darn it, I will so miss it if it ever happens.
I am very happy that the "cupboard is bare" right now! Yeah!
ReplyDelete"no litters available" I never get tired of hearing this. (And I think you know exactly which way I mean this.)
ReplyDeleteMaybe Beany would like an older playmate for a while? Even an adult kitty can use a refersher course in charming people.
Many thanks for the reminder of the Leaping Lambert! Great way to start the day. How is he doing with his furrever home?
ReplyDeleteYay for the shelter that there are no litters available! Although it's wonderful to see the babies with you, it's even more wonderful to know that there just aren't a bunch of babies needing a good home!
ReplyDeleteIt's kitten gymnastics! specifically the floor routine! With a bit of wrestling in there.
ReplyDeleteGold medals to everyone! (We can make our own rules, right?)
DeleteLambert and siblings! This video is splendid. I love to see kitties playing happily with each other :) I should make my cats watch it, ahem.
ReplyDeleteIs the post title an Echo and the Bunnymen reference? ... "bring on the leaping lambert..wherever he may roam"
ReplyDeleteThis makes me think of Metallica, actually.
DeleteIf you really need your kitten fix, Love and Hisses just got a new litter and are they precious or what? Link in the sidebar.

DeleteYou scared me there for a moment as I thought somthing had happened to the Pickles. Whew, those little demony-squirmy gherkins are okay ;-)
DeleteXD I was referring to the Pickles, yes. Did you see Tony yet? Keels me ded. <3
DeleteLove the little leapers! Our shelter, too, has fewer kittens this year. Probably because we're a no-kill shelter AND every single adoptee is neutered. We do accept transfers from another shelter in our county, too. But last year we were busier in September than August, so we'll see. . .
ReplyDeleteSadly the shelters here in Columbia SC are overflowing with kittens... Enjoy the fruits of your labors to spay and neuter!!
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love seeing photos of your foster kittens, I'm heartened by the news of a lack of kittens in your shelter.
ReplyDeleteThis may be a purrfect opportunity to get an update on Mr. Orson Davenport. Hint. Hint. Hint. :-)
OMG that just made me and my hubby laugh - they are SO adorable! I LOVE KITTENS!
ReplyDeleteHey it would be lovely to have an update on the leaping Lambert and his big bro.... pls
