Such sweet babies and beautiful kitties!! Laurie, you and Charlene taught them well. Can't wait to hear about Pearl's departure, hope her "forever" story is as fabulous as her brothers!!
DISCLAIMER: I do not know if I am right. This is only a guess, but yes, that's my guess. Here's why:
1. Did it seem random to anyone else that Opal would name that particular kitten out of all the ones she's snuggled in Laurie's house? 2. Laurie mentioned that she was coming for a visit this weekend, and that they were looking forward to seeing her. Funny how that's the weekend after the Petries got snipped.
So, I've got a sneaking hunch that Opal had a claim on a kitten out of this litter since the litter arrived. She picked her kitten and got to name it, and the visit was to bring her kitten home when she was old enough.
I invite people to poke holes in my logic, but that's what I think the story is.
So beautiful, of course, but is Forrest or Pearl (I can never remember how to tell them apart) on the left ever going to forgive you for that butt cleaning shot? How undignified!
One of the most beautiful litters yet--I am so fond of these little boys and their sister and will miss seeing their beautiful faces. Good luck in your new homes, little ones. I hope your new parents send photos so we can see how you fare in your new exciting lives.
Sweet sweet Petries. Another wonderful little batch of fluff and fun. Love the paw waving goodbye. Will miss all those whiskers!! Sad to say bye, but such a happy time too. Enjoy your beautiful Forever Homes!!!
this space for rent - I think you may be right - makes sense - did you notice Laurie still has not mentioned once who got Pearl - normally always makes sure to tell us where everyone is going before the last portrait or at least says will tell you "insert kitties name here" story tommorrow and she hasn't done that this time around....so what's the scoop on Pearl?? Bean...do you know??? Extra sparkle balls if you tell us :D
Are ShelleyT and I the only ones who waved bye-bye back after that last picture? Somehow I don't think so! What a lovely litter, and what lucky families to adopt them!
Such an adorable bunch of kittens -- I'm definitely going to miss them. Although I know the next batch will be equally adorable in a completely different way! I know these kitties are going to have wonderful lives -- all the graduates of Charlene's Finishing School do well, don't they? They have the very best start in life, obviously!
Oh Aloysius! I will miss these cutie pies. Have a great life in your new homes.
ReplyDeleteAWWWW he waved bye bye!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet group of kittens!
Oh my heart. *waves back* Bye-bye, sweet Petrie kittens.
ReplyDeleteSigh...the beginning of another set of wonderful lives.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing them with us, Laurie!
Bye little kittens- what an adventure you will have next!

ReplyDeleteWhere did Pearl go?
ReplyDeleteI've got a guess based on other comments that Laurie has made, let's see if I'm right. Hint: Who named Pearl?
DeleteOMG! If you tell me Opal the Human (not Opal the cat) adopted Pearl the kitten, I will die from happiness right this second. Could it be??

I hadn't thought of it that way before and yes I hope little Opal the human gets to take a kitten home with her!
DeleteYeah, I was pretty sure after the post about the boys that Pearl was going with Opal, but not for either of the reasons above.
DeleteElaine, what was your reason? (I'm enjoying this detective work!)
DeleteThey certainly are a dapper little bunch. Definitely candidates for Best Dressed Litter.
ReplyDeleteStripey legs on display! And fangs! I want to hear Pearl's adoption story. I have a sneaking hunch but let's see if I am right.
ReplyDeleteThey are indeed a beautiful litter. And the families they are joining are lucky indeed.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Petries! What about Pearl????

ReplyDeleteNope, Opal's family did not adopt Pearl.
ReplyDeleteDid she find a home yet?
DeleteIs it possible that sweet Pearl is already home?
DeleteOkay. Like I said, an educated guess only.
DeleteWould love to see photos from their new homes! Will those wild whiskers stay wild? Inquiring onlookers want to know! :D
ReplyDeleteTheir faces are too much -each one is so expressive and charming and unique. LOVE this little family!
