Isn't it funny that, in the right light, you can see right through the floof and see just how skinny a kitty is? And little Shrimp Louie is plenty skinny! Jeez, in picture 4, you can see his phalanges! That's amazing.
There's no cause for concern, he's fine. He's eating, gaining weight, and active. He's catching up with his siblings, and I'm not worried at all about him.
In the 2nd to last picture, you can definitely see his little filled out kitty belly. It just looks like he's a lanky guy who carries his weight just around the middle. He also reminds me of that hairless breed of cats - same pointy face and skinny limbs.
He really does look like a super model - all cheekbones!
Honestly, I think Louie is just a sleek & skinny Siamese in his "awkward kitten" phase (where they stop being teeny & floofy and start growing into cats). Also, I think his flame points are so pale right now that they make his ears, toes, tail and muzzle look a pink - which in turn maybe makes him look a little sickly in photos? I bet as they darken into orange, he'll look a little "healthier." (although i'm sure he's perfectly fine right now!)
He reminds me so much of one of mine, also the runt of the litter. I used to call him "alien face." He grew up into a slinky, very handsome fellow. I'm sure the same will be true of Shrimp Louie. Love him to itty bits.
He's such a skinny little thing!
ReplyDeleteI "heart" Shrimp Louie!
ReplyDeleteHe's going to be a gorgeous boy when he grows up. He's got those lanky, siamese lines.
ReplyDeleteShrimp Louie, I <3 you muchly!

ReplyDeletehe is such a good little boy!
ReplyDeleteTOE BATH! I love seeing those little toes all splayed out.
ReplyDeleteOK, I'm sorry but I just have to ask - is Louie doing OK? I know he is the smallest Small anyway, but somehow he concerns me.

DeleteThank you! I am so glad to hear that. Of course I know you take the best possible care of all your itty-bitties, so I was just being a worrier. :-)
DeleteI agree with Teughcats. For some reason I feel overly concerned with Little Louie. So sweet but so so skinny.
ReplyDeleteI wanna cat-nap him and bring him to my home in CA. Shrimp-Louie is da cutest!
ReplyDeleteHow is he able to get in those positions? Has he no bones?
ReplyDeleteOh Louie - you are the sweetest petite of Les Petits Chats! I'm sure he just loves those sunbeams warming his wee toes and nose!
ReplyDeleteOMG, pic 4. PIC 4!!! He is so, so adorable I can't even stand it.

ReplyDeleteCutie Louie, keepin' those whites white!!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh he is so cute. He has such a delicate look about him...the splayed pink toes are almost too much to bear. Hugs and kisses to Louie!

so cute!!! he is going to be a HANDSOME siamese style cat! i wonder if he is vocal?
ReplyDeleteSuch a thorough bath! Thanks for reassuring us about how he's doing, Laurie. Now we can just enjoy how sweet he looks. :)
ReplyDeleteLouie looks very content to be sitting in a spot of sun and grooming up a storm. What a great little guy!!
ReplyDeleteIs it just me, or does he look like a Maurice Sendak character? Something about those limbs and features...
ReplyDeleteYES!! I was thinking just the same thing but couldn't place it! Thank you for putting the name to my thought.
DeleteThank you for put
Aside from the usual joy of these posts, I simply must request a better shot of that bedspread! Very intrigued......
ReplyDeleteThere will be plenty more shots of it. It's replaced the pink one we used to have on the bed. It's just something I found at on sale Tuesday Morning.
DeleteSkinny little meezer toes!!! Oh how adorable!
ReplyDeleteI am so in love with this litter!
Such a little beauty!
ReplyDeleteI love that little bit of pudge he has around his middle. Such a cutie!
ReplyDeleteSeeing those paws makes me think shrimp Louie won't be a shrimp for long! Those are some long back legs!!
ReplyDeletewhat a cutie! Is this one going to stay all white, I don't see any points starting.. or are they just not visible in the sun?
ReplyDeleteHe's showing color on his feet and tail. I'm sure as he gets older, more will come out.
DeleteHe is still one skinny little dude! I wonder if he'll just always be that way.
ReplyDeleteThere are few things funnier than a cat washing its heels. Thanks for the demonstration, Louie!

DeleteI love the second last picture...that little round tummy and a toe bath!
ReplyDeleteThanks for allaying our concerns about Louie. He's a skinny one! I love these pictures of his very thorough grooming session in the sun puddle!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetie... did he fall asleep in that last picture?? He's adorable!
ReplyDeleteNo, he was just pausing for a moment.
DeleteHe almost looks worn out from his grooming and he is trying to gather the energy to groom his tail...one last bit to groom...
DeleteHard work being a Small handsome guy
So dainty! :) Heehee...these pictures made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteHe's a dainty bather. :)
ReplyDeleteMy Gibson was all legs and ears when he was a baby too. Now, he's the most muscular cat I've known.
He reminds me so much of one of mine, also the runt of the litter. I used to call him "alien face." He grew up into a slinky, very handsome fellow. I'm sure the same will be true of Shrimp Louie. Love him to itty bits.
ReplyDeleteI am totally enamoured with little louie!!! I want to *eat* his feet and tickle his little round tummy <3
ReplyDeleteI may have imploded from all the cute. What an adorable little kitty.
