Audrey is a little ball of fire, and seems 100% healthy. She eats great and produces poops so perfect, they are worthy of awards.
Wylla, however, gave me a little bit of a scare this weekend and we ended up at the emergency vet on Sunday. I feel pretty confident she'll be fine, we've just got to get her diarrhea under control.
Under the best of circumstances, a coat like that is hard to maintain, but with diarrhea, hand-feeding, sticky supplements, and sub q fluids, she's a bit of a mess. I don't want to put her through the stress of a bath and blow-dry while she's feeling low, so for now I will just give her an occasional wipe-down.
Even though she's not looking her best, she's still pretty adorable.
Ohhhh poor adorable sticky Wylla! Don't worry love, once you're all better Auntie Bean will spruce you right up.
ReplyDeleteShe looks adorable and a mess - definitely an adorable mess. Methinks she is bathing in her gruel. Stay strong Wylla and let Ms Laurie tend you. You have a Bean to meet.
ReplyDeleteshe's not just pretty adorable, she's extremely adorable! and i just cut the hair. it grows back quickly enough and it helps keep bum and
ReplyDeleteface clean without hassle
Adorable mess is the perfect description for sweet Wylla. Please, Wylla, we are all awaiting news that you have award winning poops also!
ReplyDeleteOh, Wylla, get better and stay with us! I'd kiss that kitty food face any time.
ReplyDeletePoor Wylla! All messy and sticky from 1 end to the other. You'll feel better after a bath and blow dry, really!
ReplyDeleteI snuggle that sticky little monster in a second. She's too cute for words - really!
ReplyDeleteGet well wishes for precious Wylla and stay well wishes for Audrey are on their way!
ReplyDeleteOh she is the MOST adorable mess. She still manages to look glamorous to me. I am so glad to hear Audrey is doing well and I am sure Wylla will soon follow suit. Thanks for the update!
ReplyDeleteOh poor crusty kitten! We are all here praying for perfect poops so you can focus on fun and frolic! And Laurie can just enjoy you rather than fraying her nerves with worry! Sending love and healing thoughts!
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness, how adorable!!! Sending out more good vibes to this fluffball!
ReplyDeleteAnd I am reminded of darling Francine Darling with milk on her chin :D
DeleteThat beautiful floofy coat of Wylla's does create the occasional challenge, doesn't it? Poor baby, I hope you feel well enough for a bath soon! And definitely sending best wishes for perfect poops from you, too. Yay that Audrey is feeling 100%!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you, Laurie, for doing so much for these sweet girls. It's clear there's a lot behind the scenes that we're usually not privy to; it's pretty clear that as adorable as these babies are, there's a whole lot more work involved than most of us realize. Wylla is in the very best of hands!
I always gave mine rice with a little chicken whirled together in the food processor - for the diarrhea. Actually for their whole first year.
ReplyDeleteSweet little dolly. It's like spending a few days in jammies when we're under the weather; we know we don't look our best, but we really don't have the energy to shower and dress.
ReplyDeleteLaurie, you're so wise to let Wylla put her energy toward healing instead of stressing out over bathing. Yay!
I am so happy to hear that Miss Audrey is doing well! And dear Wylla, you are too adorable to ever have a "bad fur day"! I am still sending healing beams, thoughts and wishes to you all!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that Audrey is doing so well, and I'm crossing all of my fingers and toes that Wylla bounces back, too. Hang in there, little girl!
ReplyDeleteWylla still gets the red carpet award for adorableness, mess or not. i hope you feel better soon, precious little girl!
ReplyDeleteThat calls for a big "Awwwwwwww."
ReplyDeleteAwww, all I see is a beautiful little girl! Sending healing thoughts and wishes for firm poops to Miss Wylla! Feel better soon so you can play with Audrey and finally meet The Bean!
ReplyDeleteI'm reminded of Geraldine Dearborn's early photos with food on her chest floof. Miss Wylla's coat is so much more honey-colored than I initially thought! The contrast is so pretty. Glad to hear Audrey's doing well. Good thoughts to everyone.

Sending prayers and get well wishes for this precious baby girl. So glad her sister is better. This litter, like all of the others, has taken hold of my heart.
ReplyDeleteLaurie, you (and Charlene) continue to be angels on earth for these fragile babies. Thank you for your care and compassion.

I love it when the beauties don't seem to notice or care about how pretty they are. When I found my gorgeous little floofball so many years ago, I imagined dressing her up in different sparkly collars every day and putting ribbons in her fur, but she would have absolutely none of that. I have come to admire her lack of vanity, lol. Wylla is beautiful even when she's got food on her chin! Audrey's a lovely girl, too, and they both seem so sweet.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Wylla knows that the more mess she accumulates, the longer her future beanie-bath will be :3
ReplyDeleteSuch an adorable little thing, they are so lucky to have you to give them such good care!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear Audrey is bouncing around! Now to get Wylla up there, too! She can be as crusty & messy as she wants until she's 100%. I love how thoughtful you are for the itty bitties! xo
ReplyDeleteHurray for Audrey! She is a blue-ribbon winner.
ReplyDeleteNow for Wylla to catch up with her sister! She will do it!! her messiness is not a concern.
You are so good and she is so pretty. With care and attention like that Wylla can only get better
ReplyDeleteOh Beautiful, you concentrate on getting on all better so Mama Laurie can relax and you can have a nice B-A-T-H!
ReplyDeletecuteness - she is in good hands and we are sending purrs just in case. :) We have had a messy crew here before and sometimes it is all you can do to just keep up...
ReplyDeleteMy latest crew of fosters had diarrhea too, meds didn't seem to work but when I added canned pumpkin to their KMR they got all better within a day, perhaps your cutie just needs fiber!
ReplyDeleteAll that floof is just so gorgeous! Dirty or not!
ReplyDeleteSending kitty kisses and purrs to Wylla for a full recovery! Hooray for Audrey! Hooray for the kitten mom extraordinaire! Mary A
ReplyDeleteMiss Wylla's little face looks sooo very teensy amongst all the floof.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry she has not been so troubled by poo problems. We are all a community focused on quality poo by Wylla.
Get well soon Wylla! You're a gorgeous girl that makes us swoon here, mess or no!
ReplyDeleteOur fluffy cat Fizz had the same issues during a recent illness. He sends his sympathies and assurances that the fur will fluff just fine in the future!
ReplyDeleteThat doesn't look like ordinary kitten food. What are you feeding her? I live a bit off the beaten path and often have to cook for my kitty. Chicken livers whirled in the blender is the current favorite but I wonder if I shouldn't be adding some rice or veggies to the mix.
ReplyDeleteNot sure what she's eating here. We try many brands and flavors when trying to get sick kittens to eat.
ReplyDeletePoor little boo. I hope she's feeling better soon!
