Good morning. First off, thank you so much for the outpouring of love, support, virtual hugs and sweet, sweet words. I appreciate you all so much and take comfort in knowing you're out there thinking lots of good thoughts for all of us here at the IBKC.
There's so much love coming from you, it's hard to keep up with it all! I'm reading all your comforting words on the blog, Facebook, Twitter and in emails too, but don't have time to respond to each one. Just wanted to let you know they've been received and are appreciated greatly.
So, how are the girls today?
On a scale of zero to ten, ten being hopeful and zero being hopeless, I'm somewhere between six and seven right now. Yesterday I was a nine.
They're showing some symptoms of the virus, diarrhea and vomiting, but these are also very common things for kittens of this age to experience, so there is a chance it could be unrelated. We'll just have to wait and see.
I know you all care so much about these girls and want to know what's going on with them. I'll do my best to update you, but right now, trying to see them through this is pretty consuming, and they are my number one priority. I will report when I can.
Thank you again for all the love,
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, you are a special bunch of people. You are kind to the core and we appreciate you deeply.
xo Laurie
Prayers and blessings for you all. So sorry about little Filbert, and hoping for the best for his two adorable sisters.
ReplyDeleteAll the best to these little ones, yesterday broke my heart :( xxx
ReplyDeleteAw little fluffsies <3
ReplyDeleteI want to cuddle them til they're all better.
When my cat gave birth the second time, her and all 5 of her kittens got crazy diarrhea and they had it for so long we were getting really worried about mummy and babies alike. They all pulled through though, so I'm touching wood for these little fluffsies too <3

My 8 year old delighted that he was a cat with a nutty name and looked like a mini me of our big boy tabby who has lovely tummy markings too. I can't imagine how it must feel from your end. ReplyDeleteHang in there, baby girls.. Your brother Filbert is watching from the Rainbow Bridge with St Francis sending lots of healing energy for you.
ReplyDeleteSweet Little Nut, we know how lonely you are for your lovely sisters... but please can we keep them on this side of the Bridge? The wonderful people out here in Itty Bitty Kitty Land are just broken hearted since we lost you, our tiny, roly-poly stripey friend, and I fear we cannot withstand anymore sadness. Please guard your sisters with your itty bitty angel wings and give them the strength they need to fight, if necessary. Thank you, sweet Filbert, for watching over them, and your sweet foster mama, papa, and auntie Bean.
ReplyDeleteSending kitty purrs and good vibes to Audrey and Wylla. I was so saddened by the news of Filbert, and I really hope the girls get better.

Thank you for sharing your real journey with the kittens with us -- I know that you usually don't mention the minor crud that most babies arrive with, but we all understand that it's not always sunshine and playtime. So please, as you focus on bringing the Stout girls back to health, know that there's an awful lot of people out here who are with you every step of the way! And we'll be continuing to send you and the whole household all the good vibes and healing thoughts we can.

ReplyDeleteI've loved your writing and photos for years. What you do inspired me when I took in a sick 10 day old. I also learned a lot through you about taking care of such a little guy. I understand the challenges with the sicker babies, thank you for taking on all these challenges. My guy's digestive system took many weeks to get working right, but now he's a 13 pounder :) They have great comfort and love in your care and I cheer you on.
ReplyDeleteI pray for their fast recovery. They are really cuties.
ReplyDeleteSo cute kittens! I'm hoping that they'll get well sooner.
