I know he looks a tad bored and a little blase´ in this photo, but trust me, he's not.
This boy is a nut. He's goofy, he's charming, he's ridiculous, and he's squirrelly. He's also marked with a giant smiley face on his plump belly which I will show you later.
And he has the oddest little tail - it's very short, and has a funny little bend in the end. It looks like a tiny black stocking with a foot inside.
Filbert is the third and final kitten in this little set of Stouts.
Now,I know everyone is itching to hear Royal's departure tale. Don't worry, it will be coming soon, just not today. So stay tuned, he'll be getting his proper send-off.
Until then, soak in these Stouts.
Ohhhhh, he's going to be a handsome little man when he grows up.
ReplyDeleteOMG! Filbert!!! *ker-thunk* I love nuts! Particularly Filbert!
ReplyDeleteMy dear departed "A, the cat" had a crook in his tail just like that. Too cute!
He looks like Tom Kitten. He just needs the small blue coat and pants.
ReplyDeleteThat's it! I was thinking they all looked so old-fashioned, and Tom Kitten it is!
DeleteOh Filbert! You have two sisters who are going to keep you in line!
ReplyDeleteWhat a rolly-polly family of kittens the Stouts are!
Welcome Filbert! Fil? Bert? No - I think you need to use your full name!
ReplyDeleteNow please don't hiss at me - but I need to admit that I didn’t read all 100 plus (!) comments on the debut post of Wylla, so if this has already been pointed out, I apologize...
But did any of you have the initial reaction (after swooning from the cute) that little Miss W was the spitting image of a very sweet, very gentle, very wise, very tiny… Troll? I just can’t get that cartoon image out of my head when I gaze at her beauty! Audrey – not so much – but she’s so miniscule that there is still time for trollness to develop. This sweet little guy also has that distinct troll look about him, too.
Never thought that I would fall in love with trolls – but here I am swooning x 3!!
Phoebe, I was kind of thinking grumpy old toothless man, myself. I think it's the coloring just above her nose, makes that area look more human than feline. I'm certain that Wylla is all girly girl cat, though, and will not be yelling at kids to get off the lawn.
DeleteYou couldn't have picked a better surname than Stout for this stubby, round litter. So cute!
ReplyDeleteUh, oh. Somebody sat on Filbert's tail for too long when he was in the womb. Don't worry, little fella - it's part of your charm.

I love their frowny little faces! So disapproving!
ReplyDeleteTiny, finey white mittens!
ReplyDeleteYour kitty names make me so happy! He looks like my daughters kitten Pep-Pep (Pepz for short!) What a handsome little guy Filbert is!
ReplyDeleteHi Filbert! Boy, you sure are cute! And I bet you and your sisters are just the cuddliest and softest little muffins around. Thanks for making my day, little man!
ReplyDeleteGah, you named this litter after my favorite type of beer!
ReplyDeleteA smiley faced belly AND a crooked little tail? I'm about to move to your area just so I can adopt this sweet fellow!
ReplyDeleteFilbert has a sassy stance, and that tail spells trouble. I expect major shenanigans from this litter!
ReplyDelete=^..^= =^..^= =^..^=
My latest kitten had that little kink in her tail and it was shorter than normal. Her tail was what stole my heart. She's since grown and the kink is there and just so adorable.
ReplyDeleteFilbert you look like you're going to be be a heart breaker!
Oh my gosh, they're all so cute! Can't wait to see his belly! Looks like their eyes havent finished changing colors?
ReplyDeletelove that little tail!
ReplyDeleteEEEEEEE! He has such a silly face! All three of them have such silly faces. Their noses are all kind of long and flat.
ReplyDeleteLook at that smile! He looks like the very best kind of handful to have around the house. :)
ReplyDeleteLittle kink in the tail! Seen that before - remember Georgie Bartlett?
ReplyDeleteAll of the Stouts seem to have such a serious expression on their precious little faces. I agree with a previous post, the surname "Stout" is right on the money for these little round mounds of cute!
ReplyDeleteYes, lethal levels of cuteness will be reached when the entire Stout family is in one photo. Love this litter--all completely adorable!
ReplyDeleteI adore his expression...like he is trying to look innocent and dignified, but his inner goof appears to be struggling to be expressed!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet Stout!! A goofy little nut with the sweetest-ever tail! Filbert, you are adorably cuddly.
ReplyDeleteThese Stouts are stupendously stubbular!!
ReplyDeleteOdd how that happens.
ReplyDeleteThese little round Stout babies are all so adorable! I can't wait to watch them grow up!
ReplyDeleteHad a teacher in High School for biology - Ms. Strout, who was very short and stout. Not particularly cute like these purries. Thanks so much for your excellent photos, as always.
ReplyDeleteHe really does look like he could take or leave all of this. :)
ReplyDeleteSomewhere I was told that the crooked tail end means a Siamese parent somewhere. My boy has it too.
ReplyDeleteFilbert was such a sweet little boy. I just popped back for a look at his baby pics. So sorry he didn't make it. xx
