It seems Wylla's been feeing a little better these past couple of days. She's been playing much more, and a little harder. Not nearly as hard as Audrey plays, but I can only think of a few kittens in our fostering history that could keep up with that girl.
She had some blood work done this week, and her white blood cell count is low, so that means she's still not completely out of the woods. But I take her current level of bounciness a sign that things are improving.
Yay for Wylla! So glad and relieved to hear that she is showing improvement. Thanks for the update, Laurie.
ReplyDeleteEvery picture of Audrey shows her with the same crazed look in her eye!
ReplyDeletePerhaps Audrey can share the title of "pantalones de loco" with Oliver Furman?
ReplyDeleteI think he would be loco and she would be loca :)
DeleteI think he would be loco and she would be loca :)
DeleteYay Wylla! I am so happy to hear that she is improving! Thanks for the positive update, Laurie! And you just have to LOVE Audrey's spunk!

ReplyDeleteyou can see the difference in Wylla's eyes! I'm so happy she's feeling better!! Will keep sending positive thoughts Wylla's way for a speedy full recovery.
ReplyDeletepossibly the most adorable kitten ever
ReplyDeleteOh, thank goodness! I've been checking in every few hours for the past several days, worried about little Wylla. I am so glad she's better.
ReplyDeleteYay Wylla! You go girl. Don't forget to rest too. Don't let that Audrey let you be too crazy yet! :) What a sweet shot!
ReplyDeleteYes! delighted to hear of Wyllas' improvement. My weekend will be a good one with this post. Thank you for the up date. These sweeties always put a smile on my face
ReplyDeleteHoping and praying that Miss Wylla the Adorabuhl continues to get better each and every day. Fingers, toes and eyes crossed!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that things are looking up!
ReplyDeleteSending more love and purrs but pleased to hear good new. xx
ReplyDeleteWonderful news! She definitely looks better, if a bit tired (and that could be just having a chimpanzee/kangaroo for a sister).
ReplyDeleteMy family jokes that one of my cats is a dog in a cat suit. Maybe Audrey is a monkey in a cat suit...
ReplyDeleteI so love her floof and My Goodness those eyes. I hope she is better soon.. what a sweet princess kitty.
ReplyDeleteI am keeping Wylla's wellness in my heart. Her expression sure looks more alert...I hope the trend to healing continues.
ReplyDeleteI agree, her eyes look much less tired and droopy in this photo. Yay, Wylla!
DeleteOh those little faces are just adorable!!! Yeah for things look a little better!!
ReplyDeleteYay, Wylla! Keep bouncing and no emergency trips to the vet this weekend! Audrey, you are a rascal but I think you are motivating your sister to get better! Lauri, I hope this is a less stressful weekend for you. Thanks for all of your loving care for these two babies!
ReplyDeletePaws crossed for Wylla!
ReplyDeleteWonderful, Wylla! Laurie, I'm awed by the care and love you give these little creatures, even when it's no fun at all (and cleaning up the kind of problems Wylla has had can't be enjoyable). Here's hoping the worst is over and raising Wylla and Audrey to adoptable age will be a joy from now on.
ReplyDeleteadmirers pulling for wylla here. paws crossed.
ReplyDeleteemma and buster
Audrey sounds like Elvis. When he was a kitten up until he was about 2 1/2, he could play by himself (he's an only cat) SO HARD that he'd have to take a break and start panting. I can't tell you how many times I had to put the curtains back up when he was a kitten. At four, he's calmed down. A little.
ReplyDeleteDear Wylla, you can do this girl. You can.
Aw, good news, little Wylla. Also love seeing your sis looking all crazypants. She's got a major case of the dickens, that one.
ReplyDeleteFirst-time poster, though I've been a regular (um, obsessive?) reader since I discovered this site some months ago. Love the pics and as well as the writing.
ReplyDeleteOn topic, am rooting for sweet Wylla to feel much better soon. Her eyes do seem brighter in this pic.
Great news to start the weekend! Wylla is certainly looking perkier. Hugs to both the girls, and special snorgles for Ms. Bean who is being especially patient waiting to meet these sweeties. And deep appreciation for all you and Craig do for these wee ones!
ReplyDeleteYay for Wylla!
ReplyDeleteHooray!! She'll be keeping up with that monkey in no time...
ReplyDeleteIs it Wylla with a long I or Wylla with a short i sound? I go back and forth in my head when I read..
I vote for short i, as in "I WILL be all better soon." --Ajax
DeleteGood news!
ReplyDeleteAnd, Audrey cannot be faulted for playing so hard... she's playing for three. A tough job, but someone's got to do it.
I'm so glad little Miss Wylla is feeling better! I've been somewhat worried about her -- even in the most excellent hands, kittens sometimes just are meant to head to the Bridge, like sweet little Filbert. But if Wylla is starting to try to keep up with her crazy sister, I see a happy, healthy forever home in her future! I only wish it could be mine ....
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to hear that - I've been biting my nails. She looked so sad in those undercover pictures...but seems to be perkier. Let's hope she's bouncing around in no time!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear Wylla's continuing to do better. A magic healing wand that'd instantly make her 100% better would be great, but since one is unlikely to show up anytime soon I'll be satisfied with steady, if slow, improvement.
ReplyDeleteSounds like she's on the mend, if not there yet. Keep getting better little sweetie!
ReplyDeleteKisses for Wylla! You're such a good kitty mom, if anyone could do it, you could. ;) Mary A
ReplyDeleteAw...bless her little heart.
ReplyDeletePoor Audrey needs a big litter. She could be the one who runs everyone ragged.
ReplyDeleteKeeping the good thoughts going for Wylla! <3
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update-- sounds like you are doing an awesome job of taking care of these girls!
ReplyDeleteFrom way over the atlantic, me and my Pipa praying and praying for Wylla and Audrey, and for you too
ReplyDeleteI just got back from out of town and just had to check on the girls, thank goodness that Wylla is doing better, let's hope her bloodwork improves so she can keep up with her sister wild Audrey! Filbert the guardian angel is working overtime to watch over these sweet babies!!
ReplyDeletethey are so cute.... :)
