OK, now I am weeping. Tears of joy at the scene. Tears of sadness that Wylla's sister is leaving. Oh, just tears of teh cute. I will watch this 20 times at least.
Oh my, that's so sweet! But how did I never notice the wonderful pair of face stripes that Audrey has on either side? They make her even cuter, if such a thing is possible!
Ha ha...Wylla is often messy because she's a baby and gets her food in her long fur, and she doesn't have a mommy cat to clean her up. And when she was sicker, she wasn't really up to a full bath, which she has since had: http://www.theittybittykittycommittee.com/2013/03/back-and-bathed.html
I feel that statements like "Enjoy it while you can....." are negative, and I would prefer you not share such thoughts here. As I've stated squillions of times before, we like to keep it a positive place.
Audrey's home is awesome and when it's time for Wylla to leave, we'll find her the perfect place.
I really doubt they're harboring any feelings of loss for their brother. We humans might, but I really doubt they do. Kittens live in the moment, and that was lifetimes ago for them.
Audrey's departure will be a celebration. She's a healthy young lady who's ready to start the next chapter in her life.
I'm sorry for being negative. I was thinking about my own cat who had a cancer around the stomach that was keeping him from eating enough. I wondered if maybe if we tried that same technique of raising the food if it would have made his last days comfortable.
I know you will do what's best for Audrey and Wylla. There was never any doubt in my mind. You always do a great job finding homes. My other cat, Pepi, has a sister who is still available for adoption and I had wondered if they would remember each other and if being together would be good for both of them. But it would be hard to manage three cats on my own.
It strikes me that Audrey has learned some important lessons in being a cat by having a sister like Wylla who is on a different activity level than she does - not so much crazy pants and wild eyes. Audrey is going to be a wonderful addition for some family! As will Wylla when she is ready. And did I say that this is about the cutest video I have seen on IBKC (and that is saying A LOT!)
That is absolutely adorable! Audrey, you are far beyond cute and sweet! Congratulations on finding your new home, little lady. I am sure you will delight your new family as much as you have delighted us. And dear sweet Wylla, you may continue to muss your fur all you want. Who wouldn't want to bathe a princess like you?
Now that I have watched this for the zillionth time (still squeeing!) I think I see a bit of the "crazy pants" in the way Audrey is attacking the cleaning! I <3 these two little Stouts so much!
Just the epitome of adorable. Really, there are no words. I just love it when my girls (siblings) groom each other, which they still do from time to time at 1.75 years of age.
Oh my goodness, what a sweet sister.
ReplyDeleteOh, my heart! There are no words!
ReplyDeleteLooks like they are both enjoying the bath!
ReplyDeleteWhat will Wylla do after Audrey leaves this weekend? Miss Bean?
That video is SUCH a treat!

ReplyDeleteAww, how sweet! Goodness, I bet that takes Audrey at least twice as long as her own fur does!
ReplyDeleteOk - our brains just exploded of the cute! <3
ReplyDeleteThat made my day :D
ReplyDeleteAudrey, you're just the bestest of sisters! And I was so happy to see you go after those messy ears ;)
ReplyDeleteThud
ReplyDeleteIt's all been said already but I just have to say, AWWW!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet!
ReplyDeleteThere are no words to describe *that* level of cuteness!
ReplyDeleteWow..this is seriously the ultimate of AWW!! How seriously sweet!
ReplyDeleteThat's some serious grooming Audrey ahs taken on. Perhaps she learned from Miss Charlene?
ReplyDeleteI could be wrong.. but I THINK Wylla likes it?? :)
ReplyDeleteSisters are the best (Wylla looks like she's in 7th heaven)! :)
ReplyDeleteAwwww, just like going to a salon. Sweet sister you are, Audrey.
ReplyDeleteERMAGERD!
ReplyDeleteHow cute is this :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a good sister!
ReplyDeleteWhat a good, good kitty.. Guess that Bean wore out her tongue on all of that floof so someone else has to step up to the challenge.
ReplyDeleteToo bad that you can't keep them together.
It's not too bad, it's what's best for the girls.
DeleteAwww, so cute, and Wylla's obviously enjoying Audrey's attentions.
ReplyDeleteIt's an exceedingly cute video, but it doesn't look like a particularly dirty job. Maybe I'm missing something...
ReplyDelete:o)

Cutest thing ever! Why did this make me tear up?? Gosh, cats are just the BEST:)
ReplyDeleteOMG! I bet Wylla was purring up a storm! This is soooo cute! <3
ReplyDeleteEnjoy it while you can Wylla, soon your sister will be leaving forever. :(
ReplyDelete(I know you're doing what's best, but it's still sad to see them split up after losing their brother. What's best isn't always what's easiest.)
Will Audrey have her own kitty siblings to groom in her new home?

I think my head just exploded from the cute. I'm not sure I can go back to work now lol

ReplyDeleteI especially like the head-lock technique! LOL!

Oh my, I'm melting. I seen some cute kitten activities in my time, but that just about takes the cake.
ReplyDeleteAudrey is showing true dedication...there's a lot of floof to groom on Miss Wylla! I wonder, has Miss Bean been giving tips?!?
zowey....Audrey has some serious floof grooming skill! She really learned from Charlene, didn't she?
ReplyDeleteWylla is showing just how good a kitty grooming must feel!
My goodness, that's a video to lower the blood pressure! Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteNow that I have watched this for the zillionth time (still squeeing!) I think I see a bit of the "crazy pants" in the way Audrey is attacking the cleaning! I <3 these two little Stouts so much!
ReplyDeleteI love the blissed out look kitties get when they're being bathed. Has Miss Wylla been Beaned yet?
ReplyDeleteTina & The Kittboyz
Ack! I am gobsmacked. (I agree with Webbthistle). Audrey is going to make a fantastic pet, as will Wylla. That is such a cute video!
ReplyDeleteWhat totally, adorably, exquisite cuteness!!!! omg, how can you top that video, Laurie?
ReplyDeleteThat is some, ah, enthusiastic grooming you're doing there, Ms. Audrey!
ReplyDeleteWhat a special pair of sisters. SO different, yet so loving.
Laurie, you are awesome. Thank you so much for sharing this story!!!
ReplyDeleteWith all that fuzz, Wylla definitely needs some help. And Audrey is a wonderful sister, to slow down and help her out! Just adorable!
ReplyDeleteAudrey has her wild side, but she's really a good kitty.

ReplyDeleteLovely job!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSomeone made a .gif of your kitties and I'm assuming they didn't ask for permission since there's no credit given.

Omg...that is sooo cute...Wylla seems to enjoy it and Audrey is such a lovely sister.. She took the bath lessons well from Charlene :-)
ReplyDeleteOh my, my heart just skipped a few beats.......I would take that girl Wylla in a heart beat, or stand in line for her.
ReplyDeletethanks for taking care of the wee ones and finding them their fur ever home......
