I see little Wylla imitating Bean and it brings back the memories of little Z imitating India at bathtime. Zou wasn't very good at it and had a bit of an aroma for a while, but even now, if she sees India bathe, she runs over and sits next to her and takes a bath herself. Those pictures are SO cute. Little Wylla taking her own spit bath and then curling up! awwwwww.
It's like Mama Bear and Baby Bear, grooming with synchronicity! Wylla may have had a different mom, but right now Bean is filling the position beautifully. And teaching her to "play the cello" -- hee! I will annoy my cat by discussing that with her tonight when she takes her nightly bath on my chest as I'm trying to get to sleep. :)
In our house we hold up imaginary scorecards rating the gymnastic performance. Extra points for leg lifted very high over head and also perpendicular to floor. "Even the Russian judge has to give this move a 9.5!"
Charlene is imprinting so much of herself on sweet Wylla's behavior - whoever adopts this little girl is really going to get so much Bean-ism, too! Wonderful!
My fluffy cat does has the same slouched sit pose to clean her tummy fluff. It is hilarious to watch as she folds over like a little person to get her lower tummy. Then she flops onto her back like a beached whale and leans up with front paws waggling in the air to clean her upper chest. It is the most ungraceful behaviour and cracks me up every time, but it does keep her fur soft and floofy!
So cute & floofy!
ReplyDeleteIn my house, this is called "Playing the Cello" and with those foofy toe hawks how could one NOT photograph this?!?!
ReplyDeleteWe've always called it "drumsticking."
DeletePlaying the Cello!! This is my new favorite thing. That made me giggle.
DeleteI love "playing the cello"!
DeleteIt's always reminded me of a drumstick.
DeleteWe call it "playing the cello" too - how nice to have a duet!
DeleteSynchronized cataloon floofing! Not everyone could make that look good, but Bean and Wylla are doing a fine job of it. Carry on, girls!
