Aw...that last photo of mama and kittens got me. So sweet! Mama reminds me a bit of my Winnie, who came home with me from a shelter just a month or so ago. Yay for all the shelter kitties and those who help them!
That sums it all up. Thanks to you, Laurie, for posting, fostering (any new babies yet?), loving and asking us to help. I should say that I made a matching donation to my local no-kill shelter when I donated to the Cat-A-Thon.
I'll take one of each please! I've never donated to a FUNdraiser before because there are shelter kitties in my own backyard (literally!) that can use help, but I may have to put some pennies aside for next year - just to thank you for the smile you bring to me when you post adorable things like this!
I followed every blog post that you wrote about this year's FUNraiser. I loved how you broke down each day and had matching donor days and the beautiful artwork by Craig and Tea with Bean! Everything! I live in Atlanta and volunteer my time and money to Furkids, so I did not donate money to your fundraiser this year. Trust me....it was very difficult to read your posts and NOT donate, but our money is very tight right now. But, so you know...I do plan on putting money aside to help BOTH Furkids AND ITKC next year! Your efforts go above and beyond and even though I am not physically there, I want to support you in the coming years. Thank you for all that you do for the kitties!
I wish I could take them ALL home... I am running my own shelter at this time, I am up to 11 and they are all in their furrever homes... I want to do a match next year, when the time comes, do we email you? We are starting today to save our $$ for next year. Thank you for all you do. And I, too, am looking forward to the next round of kittens... Please let us know when you are going to be ready for the next round up!!
Last pic, the middle kitten. Okay, and the other kitten as well. Tabbies rule. Oops - gotta go. (Oh, uh, *hi*, LG. I didn't hear you come in. Heh. Just looking at this here spreadsheet...hmmm...)
I volunteer at a no kill shelter, and I made a dollar store run last Christmas to get some supplies for the shelter kittehs....I will be bringing one of the kittehs home on Caturday....Broadrick, who is a little grey tabby with 4 white paws...he's been at the shelter for 2 years....I gave him some nip some time ago, and I've been his best bud ever since....
What a beautiful bunch of adoptable kitties! I know they're going to find wonderful forever homes. But I sure wish a few of them would be coming to live here with me!
You are quite welcome kitties!! What a bunch of beautiful cats & kittens, let's hope they all find loving homes. The previous post was great too, loved seeing Wylla as the IBKC ambassador of sweet kitti-ness. Good job everyone!
Kitties are beautiful, soft, warm, intelligent, full of mischief and purrs, and apparently have an amazing capacity for gratitude, not to mention nice penmanship.
It would be a lovely addition, perhaps on Friday afternoons, to post a couple pictures of other kitties available in the shelter. I love these shots. Thank you.
awwwww - we THANK YOU too!!

ReplyDeleteAwww!!! It's allergies that are making my eyes watery, right?
ReplyDeleteAwwww....no...thank you babies!
ReplyDeleteThose black & white tuxes in the background look like TROUBLE! :)
ReplyDeleteThey DO look like they are plotting something mischievous AND cute, don't they?
DeleteSeriously cute AND mischievous - my kind of trouble!! :)
DeleteThe little grey one is trying to distract us from their plotting by being adorably cute. Seems to be working quite well.
DeleteThis post is perhaps your best one yet. Grinning & a bit misty-eyed.

ReplyDeleteI wish every shelter could have an IBKC group. Tacoma is very lucky to have Laurie, Craig, Bean and Wylla.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, positively true!
DeleteI was thinking the same thing!

ReplyDeleteOh I wish I could adopt the gorgeous marmalade boy. I had a ginger boy once, named Jess and I adored him. Still miss him. Marmies are the best!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh would love to take you all home, you are all so lovely
ReplyDeleteAhh, what beautiful kittehs!! I wish I could take them all home. I hope they all find wonderful forever homes.
