IBKC Alumni week continues, and the first old friend we're saying hello to today is Mr Cecil Knapp!
Here's the precious lad in his very early days with us.
And here he is today! SO HANDSOME, isn't he??!!!
Here's what Susan, his mama, had to say about the boy...
As you can see, Cecil has grown quite the mane along with lots of furry hair. He reminds us a bit of a lion although he's more the cowardly lion than the brave one. He would like you to think he could take on anything or anyone, but the sight of the vacuum cleaner sends him under the nearest bed.
He is obsessed with my yarn and knitting needles and, although I use quiet, wooden needles, he can hear them a mile away and comes running. He can chew a piece of yarn in half faster than he can eat a kitty snack. Consequently, my production has gone down immensely and I've become a closet knitter!
He and Tuna do their fair share of chasing and rolling around but it's all in the spirit of play. They are never far from each other and despite the fact that we have kitty beds everywhere, they spend their days napping together in the same chair.
Cecil is a gem. He's gentle (once he learned how to control his claws!), cuddly, very busy and pretty much in charge of the house. Thank you for raising such lovely kittens. They are lucky to have you and we are all lucky to benefit from your kindness and great training.
Thank you so much for sharing with us today, Susan! And thank you for the kind words. We're so happy he's with you!
It's been fun seeing all these IBKs again, hasn't it? I'm hoping that by seeing all of their "happily ever afters", you might feel inspired to give to the shelter that put them on the road towards their forever homes. By donating, we are providing the Humane Society with the resources to help more cats in more ways.

Thank you!
Pic #2: "Enchanté, madame."
ReplyDeleteAnd we are "enchanteed" with him, too!
DeleteIsn't he the stunning boy! The two of them look so much like our pair, although Cecil's coat is much more elegant than our male kitties will ever be - but please don't tell him that!
ReplyDeleteSuch a tiny kitty hiding so much floof!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie! <3
ReplyDeleteWOW, he growed up nice!
ReplyDeleteAwww, Cecil, it't so good to hear from you! You sound very happy. I love your sister's name, and that you are so close with each other. Hello, Tuna!
ReplyDeleteI never realized before that cats can develop fur they didn't have as kittens. Cecil was fuzzy, but nothing like he is now. But then, lions (the real ones), aren't born with manes, either. Such a handsome fellow you are, Cecil!
oh my, he was a darling baby, but has grown up into a gorgeous fellow! that is a lotta floof! LOVE seeing "the old gangs" :)
ReplyDeleteLinda
His dashing white blaze has gotten much more prominent in adulthood! What a handsome kitty.
ReplyDeleteWow! He is a wonderfully handsome kitty! His coloring is like our Morley's but with a big floofy coat! Lauri, I am so glad to have found your site. It makes me smile everyday :)
ReplyDeleteOh, he has grown into such a handsome cat! I am loving this alumni week. It's so fun to see how all your little fuzzballs have grown up!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful boy Cecil has grown up to be! And oh, that mane and his white bib -- how I would love to snorgle that bib! Yet more proof that the Itty Bitties grow up to be the most gorgeous kittties in the whole world!
ReplyDeleteOh my.... Cecil looks well loved. He's livin' the good life now! It's great to see the graduates all grown up and being in fantastic homes. You know, I think he looks better now than as a kitten.
ReplyDeleteI'm always surprised to see how many of these itty bitty kitties inherit their Auntie Bean's floofalicious tail. Even when you don't suspect it---BOOM! Floofy tail!

Oh Cecil! You are so handsome!
ReplyDeleteAww, Cecil wants to help you knit! In that second photo, he is all "Mommy, knit one, purl two." A boy who knits is very special. Like Rosey Grier! (Or was that needlepoint?)
ReplyDeleteTuna is also a cutie. Alumni week rules!
ISn't that supposed to be 'knit one, purrrrrl two'?
Delete((grin))
So very floofy and handsome!
ReplyDeleteHe looks like he could be Curtis Furman's brother! Handsome buff boy!
ReplyDeleteSo handsome. Looks like he has some Maine Coon in him!
ReplyDeleteFrom the last photo it looks like Tuna has feet the size of dinner plates!
ReplyDeleteWhat a handsome, floofy boy!
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! Cecil is stunning!! It sounds like he and Tuna have a wonderful life -- yay! :)
ReplyDeleteHe sure is pretty! I know boys aren't supposed to be "pretty", but he is!
