I've been working on the big FUNdraiser wrap-up post this morning, but it is coming slow. I'll share it today, but not until later.
I'm feeling a little weary after a very long past six weeks - plus a certain two cats prevented a good night's sleep last night. They had relay races in the wee hours, followed by laps around our bed in a attempt to wake us up so we could give them snacks. My head's a bit foggy this morning, and the totaling of all those squillions isn't happening too fast.
In the mean time, a quick pic of wee Wylla on my shoulder at Dog-A-Thon. It was a great day, Wylla was awesome, and the full report on the walk will be coming tomorrow.
Now, back to the numbers.....
XOXO
Love Wylla the shoulder-sitter! :)
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhhhhhhh Wylla!
ReplyDeleteDoes racin' around the bed work for wakin' up peeps? And does it work for gettin' treats? Hmmm... I have GOT to try that!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Nissy
SO proud of all that you do, Laurie!! Take a moment to congratulate yourself for a job well done!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Dash, Laurie. After all the hard work you have done the past several weeks, you deserve a breather. And it sounds like Charlene and Wylla must have had some pent up energy from all they have done too! Leave mom and dad alone for a bit, Bean and Wylla! Let them relax for a while, will ya? :-)
ReplyDeleteShoulder-mounted rocket kitteh!
ReplyDeleteI understand. That said, LG laughs at running around the bed. His style is more paws-on. First, a little nose nudge. That didn't work? Maybe do it a little harder. Nothing? Okay, try a little face-pawing. Maybe with an eensy bit of claw sticking out? Or not. hmmm...let's try some vocalizing. Which works better - the demanding voice, or the pitiful little mew? There's only one way to find out. MeeOW! [uh, mew?] Hel-loo? Well well, look who's up. FI-nally. What? Now you have to go to the bathroom? Well, hurry up. I'm starving here. [Winds self around mom's legs. Wait, uh, TMI, right? Okay, nuff said. Carry on.]
ReplyDeleteOh, and LG and I both think Wylla looks simply adorable. So there's that.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear that everyone had a good time at the Dog-A-Thon. I wish I could have attended just to see adorable wee Princess Wylla -- did she enjoying meeting all her adoring fans??
ReplyDeleteMy boys do the 3AM racing stint too -- everything is fine until I hear something crash and then trying to find the culprit is like looking for a needle in a haystack !! I think Wylla was just letting Ms. Bean know how much fun she had on Saturday, much to the detriment of Mom and Dad's sleeping.
Thundering Herd of Elephants is time honored, hoomin waking tradition!

How awesome, what a great testament to the IBKC community and it's generous people...especially Laurie, Cynthia and others who set up the donation matches, did artwork, etc. I am so glad I could help in my small way. The real winners are the kitties at the Humane Society, great effort by all.
ReplyDeleteThat picture of Wylla is knockout, Laurie! Did she ever blink - even once - during the walk! What a character, as is her older sister!
ReplyDeleteGet some rest - you've done well for the kitties! We can be patient!
What an adorable picture of Wylla! I swear, that is possibly the most photogenic kitten in the world, and since there isn't a single kitten who isn't incredibly photogenic, that's a pretty high standard to achieve. :)
ReplyDeleteYou've earned the chance to relax and take it easy. You did an amazing job of raising FUNds this year, and I don't think there's anyone who reads this website who's going to begrudge you a bit of a slowdown for a while!
great picture of Wylla and great job on the fund raising. feet up, relax, maybe some belly rubs for the girls
