I have such fond memories of dear little Fern Lyttelton, so I was awfully excited when Leslie sent me an update!
First, let's take a look at Miss Lyttelton when she was a little one.
And here she is today!
And that's her sister "Roux" on the left. So cute!
Here's what her mom Leslie had to say about Fern...
Fern is an absolute joy - sweet, playful, affectionate, tenderhearted. She's smallish, has a super soft smoke tabby coat and smells like vanilla bean. She still loves her feather wand the best (fierce huntress)!
She loves meeting people, lounging on her cardboard catwalk, drinking fresh bath water, wrestling with Roux, hiding in warm laundry, sleeping on my neck, and sitting on my shoulder. I couldn't ask for a better friend!
Thank you once again for bringing her into my little family.
My pleasure, Leslie! I'm so glad she found her way to you! Thank you so much for the update and all the wonderful photos!
OH! I almost forgot! We've got a little Fern movie to share, so you can see the goof girl in action!
Enjoy!
What a delightful beauty she is!
ReplyDeleteYay! An update on Fern - she's beautiful & wacky. I wasn't following the IBKC when you fostered her but I had read her story previously, thought she was adorable and wondered how she was doing.
ReplyDeleteOooh! Fern was my favorite Lyttelton! I wondered if she'd keep her cool smoky markings as an adult. What a beauty! Leslie is very lucky indeed :)
ReplyDeletePawsome photos!!!
ReplyDeleteBig congrats on your Petties nom too : )
; ) Katie & Glogirly
I can't say often enough how much I love cats being friends with each other. What a sweet, entertaining, and gorgeous pair Fern and Roux are.
ReplyDeleteIt does seem to be Unusual Coat Day here, between Fern and Maddie (Imogene) Bartlett. They are both so pretty and delightful, and I'm glad we got to see their grown-up selves. Thank you, kitty families!
WOW, Fern is fabulous and still feerce!
ReplyDeleteomg her personality is as ridiculously cute as she is!
ReplyDeleteAs all of Alumni Week has gone by, I'm noticing a seriously adorable "goof" factor in so many IBKC alumni -- I wonder if Bean would share her mentoring secrets about that. Bean, what goofiness are you teaching your charges?!!
ReplyDeleteYes, what a wonderfully unusual coat she has! I love the cat-walk (ours would try to eat the ceiling though if he got that close).
ReplyDeleteCute video! Dancing phalanges ARE very distracting to kitties. ;-)
Fern grew up into such a beautiful lady! Loving all of these alumni updates.
ReplyDeleteSuch a striking coat on this former itty bitty! She does look like quite a character and a joy to live with. Such a happy kitty.
ReplyDeleteShe gorgeous and goofy... sounds like the perfect kitty companion!
ReplyDeleteFern and Roux are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteDon't fall in, Fern! So cute.
ReplyDeleteMine!
ReplyDeleteMiinnneee!
MINE!
I want to know more about this cardboard catwalk! It looks awesome.
ReplyDeleteYes! Fern was always one of my favorites. She looks almost completely different now that she's an adult, but still just as beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I've noticed that your alumni seem to grow into HUGE (in a good way) kitties. I have a theory that you feed them some sort of magical kitty miracle-grow when they are fosters :)
Thank you for the great comments!
ReplyDeleteI believe Fern is such a well-adjusted charmer thanks to Charlene's tutelage and the kindness and care of Laurie. I suspect the litters feel the beaming love from all of us pouring over their photos, too!
3 cheers for Laurie, Charlene, Wylla and the whole IBKC commnuity!
Fern made me snort. I love her.
