The Spooner's stay with us was brief, but while they were here, they gained many adoring fans.
How could they not? Just LOOK at these two babies.
Well, here are the Spooners, all grown up, and still looking fabulous!
And here's what Roxanne, their mama, has to say...
Sophie and Phineas/Vivienne and Theodore Spooner are doing well. Finny is a big teddy bear, so your name choice of Theodore (Teddy!) was pretty appropriate. He's a big sweetheart and loves belly rubs. We often find him propped up against a doorway or in some other funny position, lying on his back in the hallway and looking adorable, or on the piano while Ian plays. Sophie has her two thrones--the highest part of the cat tree that Finny can't reach, and a pillow on the sofa. She's a big cuddle bug and still loves to knead (unfortunately, she prefers to knead our necks!). The two of them don't cuddle together much anymore, but you can still find them grooming each other sometimes. Finny isn't as fastidious as Sophie, so we take him to the groomer regularly. People always comment on how beautiful he is, and last time I went, the groomer even said she wished she could take him home! They're both super lovable kitties and we love having them in our lives.
Thanks for the update, Roxanne! It's clear these kitties have a happy life with you and Ian. Thank you for giving them so much love!
And friends, we still haven't met our match yet, so if you are in the position to give, please pop on over to our
FUNdraising page, and get your dollars matched! THANKS
Such beautiful cats they are.
ReplyDeleteThey're absolutely GORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteThey were some of my favorites itty bitties! Such beauties! They are clearly very happy. How much I wanted to give Finny/ Theo a enourmous belly rub!
ReplyDeleteMy but those adorable kittens grew into stunning cats. Just stunning!
ReplyDeleteLaurie: Sorry this isn't related to kitties, but I don't know if you have a page for your art. The July issue of Oprah and the June issue of Real Simple include pages of illustrations of paper art as illustrations for stories. The artist for both is Su Blackwell. You may already be aware of these layouts, but in case you aren't, I thought you'd find them interesting.
ReplyDeleteHoly smokes!!! Look at that white floofiness and that white tummy!
ReplyDeleteThe Spooners were among my favorite litters, even though their stay at the IBKC wasn't long. They looked like angel kitties to me, and looks like they still are! :) They are so gorgeous and so sweet! Glad to see them all grown up!
ReplyDeleteThey are stunning! I have a BIG long-haired Ginger boy that loves to lie on his back and get belly rubs too. I can't resist that floof!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, they grew up to be such elegant luxury cats!
ReplyDeleteThey are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThey are angels, absolutely magnificent! And oh so lovable.
ReplyDeleteI just watched a video Laurie made of these fuzzy little itty-bitties (http://www.theittybittykittycommittee.com/2010/03/spooner-retrospective.html). They have become magnificent cats.
ReplyDeleteI love that Finny appreciates the piano! Thank you so much for letting us see them again!!
The Spooners were adorable kittens, and they have grown up to be stunning cats! Thank you so much for sharing their beautiful white floofiness with us!
ReplyDeleteThey have grown into their ear-tufts! Just so elegant.
ReplyDeleteUtterly speechless! :O
ReplyDeleteWow, that cat from the Fancy Feast commercials better hope these two don't get an agent, they are the most gorgeous tailed floofy white cats I have ever seen.
ReplyDeleteWow, SO GREAT to see these two again!!
ReplyDeleteThird picture from the top: Hahahaha... that made me laugh out loud. So wonderfully goofy!
Oops, I meant third picture from the bottom, not from the top, in my previous comment.
ReplyDeleteJust to be perfectly clear -- the one where Mr. Phineas is exhibiting a perfect back sprawl with remarkably straight alignment and an exemplary paw tuck :)
Glorious Spooners!
ReplyDeleteSounds like their family life is pretty awesome! Many thanks for the update!
This is kinda ridiculous how cute they are. As babies, and as young cats. They are just so cute. xoxo
ReplyDeleteBeautiful babies!
