OH YES, WE DID!! THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!!!!
OH, my goodness! We were creeping up there, then BANG, a big donation put us over the top!!
I've got so much to say, but I need to collect myself, call Cynthia, and do a happy dance with the Charlene and Wylla!
And I can't even see the keyboard with these watery eyes.
I LOVE YOU!
THANK YOU FOR CARING AND GIVING SO MUCH!!!
WE DID IT!!!!!!
Congrats! That, and yay! :-)
ReplyDeleteOMC!!!! There are gonna be some happy kitties at the shelter (not to mention staff and volunteers)! Can't wait to see pictures from the walk.
ReplyDeleteBlessed kitties.
ReplyDeleteI'm crying too. This is just so amazing. To think of all the kitties who will be helped is overwhelming.
ReplyDeleteO MEOW G!! You kittens rock!!!!! Congrats on another amazing kit-a-thon.
ReplyDeleteI am SO HAPPY for you and the kitties ! God bless you all....not only do you help the kitties but you bring so much joy to all our our days out here in cyberspace...I check in with you every day and it is a warm, soft, gentle happy moment in my crazy day !
ReplyDelete::teary:: Congratulations!!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG I'm teary too!!! Congratulations, IBKC Committee. What a triumph!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! All those kitties are going to be helped with great food, support, health care and be all the more adoptable because of all of these fine folks! This is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I didn't participate in the FUNdraiser, instead I am giving to my local humane society in lieu of wedding favours. The kitties here can use a little extra help, much more than my guests can use custom wrapped chocolate bars.
I'm curious as to how many of your readers get in the giving spirit and give to their local shelters when you do your drive.
You sure did...Laurie, as always, you are to be commended for your talent, dedication and love for the kitties! You are the BEST!!!! Meowy Hugs from Minnie, Oliver and Robin
ReplyDeleteI am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is such a great moment. What a wonderful family of kitty people at the IBKC! Congratulations to everyone!

ReplyDeleteO HAPPY DANCE!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing! SO amazing! And another thing - I noticed on the firstgiving page that the lifetime total is over $293 squillion - with all the auction and poster money that's been raised over the years, we must have passed the $300 squillion mark by now! $300 SQUILLION!!!! That's a lot of squillions!
ReplyDeleteMy office got very very dusty; that's the reason for watery eyes, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! You are leading an awesome community effort!!
Hurray!!! Outstanding!! Fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteSo many kittie lovers out there!!!
Great job everybody!!
The world is a better place today.
ReplyDeletebecause of all of us who gave, but mostly because of Laurie, Craig, Charlene, Wylla and all the amazing people that dedicate their lives to the work of the Humane society.

Laurie, you deserve a great deal of thanks for what you have done for the kitties at the Humane Society! Congratulations you did it!
ReplyDeleteannd I'm pretty sure that little vampire in picture #8 is shrimpy Louis Small. I love you Louis! You represent kittens and their funniness so well. Moochas smoochas.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Laurie, Bean, Wylla, and everyone involved. I'm happy to be a tiny part of it and thankful for the generous donors who sponsored the matches.
ReplyDeleteI love this site, not just for the happiness boost it gives or the knowledge that kittens are getting awesome help, but for the reminder that I am lucky to share my life and home with my own lovely cats.
Laurie has inspired me to think of fostering in the future, though I am currently fulfilling my destiny as the crazy cat lady with the *gulp* nine that I have.
They are grouped into two litters, both born of former strays. We took Mama #1 into the house, not knowing she was pregnant, and ended up keeping them all. Mama #2 was adopted by a friend when her kittens were weaned, but then the no-kill shelters and other groups were too full to take the babies. We hadn't raised them just to take them to the county shelter, so... I wouldn't change a thing, though. In retrospect, this also perfectly highlights the importance of supporting foster/shelter efforts.
Congrats again to everyone!
This is amazing! It was such a fun month. Laurie, I am so impressed by what you do and how you do it. I enjoyed being a small part of the success and can hardly wait until next year. Due to allergies, I can't have cats, so I swing by every day to get my kitten fix.
ReplyDeleteWonderful - and an amazing tribute to the community you created. Laurie! Enjoy the walk tomorrow!!!!
ReplyDeleteSing it kittehs!!
