Ahhhhhhh, what a peaceful morning.
The sun is shining, the birds are singing.
Someone put my favorite basket on my favorite chair in front of my favorite window.
Life is good, and my morning nap will be awesome.
HI BEAN! WHAT YOU DOING, BEAN? ARE YOU TAKING A NAP, BEAN? WANNA PLAY, BEAN? HAVE YOU SEEN MY MOUSIE, BEAN? HOW ABOUT WE CHASE EACH OTHER, BEAN. OR MAYBE WE CAN WRESTLE, BEAN? DID YOU SEE THAT DOG ON OUR LAWN, BEAN? WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE SPARKLE BALL COLOR, BEAN? DO YOU LIKE TREATS, BEAN? WANT TO CLIMB THE DRAPES, BEAN?
KITTEN, play elsewhere!!!!!!!!
Wylla looks like she's getting big!
ReplyDeleteI have often wondered how much they actually get along! :) Since all the kittens eventually end up leaving, Bean loves them because she can mother them and when they become teens they become someone else's problem. But this kitten won't leave! I like her...but I like my spot on the chair in my basket more (right now)!
ReplyDeleteThey get along really great, and 99.9% of the time Bean's happy to have her around.
DeleteLaurie, I love your blog and read it every time you post! My husband now rolls his eyes because he thinks I act like I know Bean and Wylla! I tell him...YES, I DO! I see them every day and they always make me smile. Your blog is a breath of fresh air. I love to see the positive side of volunteering with animal rescue - there is so much "bad", I like to see the success stories to give me that extra lift in the day and emotional support to keep on volunteering!
DeleteWell said! Sometimes I read the blog to my husband or make him read it and look at the pictures. He is always patient and loves Wylla's wide eyes. Makes him smile after along day at work :)
DeleteI make my husband look at the blog, too, but only when there's an especially cute pic (in other words, just about every day). :-)
DeleteThis is too funny! Silly Wylla. Leave your sister be for a while.
ReplyDeleteAwww, poor Bean haha. Love how big Wylla is getting :D
ReplyDeleteSuch is the life of the Older Sister. Trying to a sun nap until THAT arrives...Guess who's nap might get shortened? At least Wylla stayed out of Beanie's basket. Or did she?
ReplyDeleteAwwww! Too cute!!
ReplyDeleteI <3 Bean soooo much!
ReplyDeleteOh Dear, I guess Charlene is going to understand a little bit how Drewey felt.
ReplyDeleteah yes - the joy of the kitten that just won't leave :) oh well...thank heaven for short attention spans
ReplyDeletelol at Charlene's face in #5. "Seriously?"
ReplyDeletePriceless!!
ReplyDeleteLittle sisters are so much fun!!! :)
ReplyDeleteNow she understand how Drewey must have felt. Being a big sister can be tough!
ReplyDeletePossibly, just possibly, could this be payback from all those times you used to corner Drewey?
ReplyDeleteButterbean's got her no-time-for-this-today!! pants on. On behalf of annoying baby sisters everywhere, I apologize.
ReplyDeleteOn behalf of beleaguered big sisters everywhere, I accept. :-) (Actually, my younger sisters are swell, just like Wylla.)
ReplyDeleteThis is hilarious. :D
ReplyDeleteAs the one who was the annoying little sister myself, I have every sympathy for Bean. Just wait, Bean, till Wylla starts doing naughty things that you end up getting blamed for -- that's a favorite little sister trick! (Mine still hasn't forgiven me for carving her name into the piano bench. Hey, I knew I'd get in trouble if I carved my own name, even if I was only 5!)
ReplyDeleteI'm with the other commenters who're thinking of sweet Drewey Junebug. I imagine her not with the beloved Inner Crank look, but with a huge smile on her face, thinking, "How do you like having a little sister, PesterBean?"
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHAHA! I love Bean's expression in the last photo.
ReplyDeleteCharlene deserves a wee bit of privacy and attention as the older sister. I can remember how I felt about my (then) new little sister when I all bur disappeared from the world when SHE came along!
ReplyDeleteI expect Drewey is feeling a tad less of a crank seeing these moments.
Aah, little sisters :-)! I love Bean and Wylla sooo much, they're both so sweet and funny! Incidentally, I wanted to express a big "thank you" for the beautiful poster I received two days ago and that is waiting to find a nice place to be set in my flat (For the time being, flattening under a heavy carpet, but not for long :-))
ReplyDelete(I tried to send a first message on Tuesday 27th, but it did not seem to get through)
To LvV: I really hope that your little dear Mini is recovering, for I sent her lots of googd healing thoughts over the ocean,
Mimi, from Switzerland
