Each week, we have a farmers market in our neighborhood. It's within walking distance of our house, so I often put Wylla on her leash, and bring her along to help with the produce shopping.
This week, as I headed down the sidewalk towards the market with Wylla perched on my shoulders, out of the corner of my eye I saw a man on a bicycle start to pass us on the street, then come to a quick stop. The rider shouted a very enthusiastic "Is that Wee Wylla??"
As it turns out, the rider was a gentlemen named Jeff, who is a big fan of the IBKC, Wylla and Charlene.
He seemed pretty excited to see Wylla in person, and it was fun for us too, because it was the very first time Wylla was ever "recognized" in public.
Thanks for making our day, Jeff!
The first of many such accolades, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteShe's famous! don't let it go to her wee little head

Me too - Alas not in the same country :(
DeleteLaurie does she make new human friends easily? Seems that she does while she is stepping out with you!
She's pretty comfortable having strangers pet her.
DeleteWish I lived closer, too. Guess I'll just have to wait for the East Coast road trip. :-)
DeleteItty Bitty Celebri-kitty!
ReplyDeletedon't be surprised, both wylla and bean have a huge following. i'd be flipping out if i saw either of them out and about.

It would make my day to see Miss Wylla in person. She'd better be careful. The paw-purr-atzi will be following her soon.
ReplyDeletePaw-purr-atzi!! Perfect!!
Deletetoo funny.....next thing you know people will be asking for autographs :)
ReplyDeletePaw-tographs? ; )
DeleteYou are going to have to carry a stamp pad in case someone asks for her autograph.
ReplyDeleteHow cool!!!! IBKC is famous, I know I have told many of my friends about this site, it's the best place on the internet...BAR NONE! With ambassadors like the Sweet Sisters, who can resist?
ReplyDeleteAw how cool! She's going to need sunglasses and a scarf to step out soon, lol!
ReplyDeleteOoh, that would make my day to see Wee Wylla! A star is born...
ReplyDeleteSo, maybe I'm behind the times asking this, but how do you avoid having fleas jump on board Wylla when you are out and about, and hitch a ride home into your house? Is the flea treatment they put on cats strong enough that this does not happen?? I once sent my cats to stay over a weekend with a friend while I traveled, and they came home infested with fleas from her dogs and I had to bathe them and bomb my house before it was over... they were not treated with Frontline or anything of course...
ReplyDeleteWe take preventive action and treat her with Revolution.
DeleteHow cool is that !!!
ReplyDeleteShe's becoming a little celebrity! Soon she's gonna have to on outings in sunglasses and hats :)
ReplyDeleteI would squeal louder if I saw Wylla or the Bean than if I saw some Hollywood star. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteI'm not surprised! Wylla has fans from all over the world! Mary A
ReplyDeleteTruly a special day for Wylla's fan!
ReplyDeleteShe is quite gracious when she meets new people. Charlene brought her up wonderfully to meet their public.
I can totally understand how exciting it would be to meet Miss Wylla out and about! And I really hope to someday!
ReplyDeleteIn person, or "in kitten"?
ReplyDeleteIf I ever met Wylla Stout in person I would probably scream & cry like the girls in the audience when the Beatles played Ed Sullivan.
