As I've mentioned before, we take Wylla to the vet for acupuncture treatments in an attempt to stimulate normal esophageal motility.
She had an appointment on Friday, and we were so happy to see our dear friend Sarah was working that day. Sarah was one of Charlene's foster moms and she takes care of the girls when we leave town. She's awesome, and the girls love her.
Wylla always does remarkably well during her visits. Once the tiny needles are in, she has to sit still for about 15 minutes. She's always so patient and calm during the whole session. I'm always impressed, and so is our vet, with this kitten's ability to sit still.
Here she is with the needles in.
Look closely, and you can see some of the needles. There are a few placed down her back and neck. Also, a couple of tiny ones in her legs, and several along her belly.
After her sessions, you can tell always feels great. Her energy is always high, and she acts far more kittenish than she does most other days.
Doc was really impressed with Wylla's improvements since her last visit 6 weeks ago. She thought her coat seemed thinker and healthier and could feel a little more fat on her frame.
We, of course, were thrilled with that report!
Wonderful! Such a sweet girl. xx
ReplyDeleteYay for Wylla!!!
ReplyDeleteHard to tell the needles from all of Wylla's beatufiul whispy floof! What a terrific young lady.
ReplyDeleteAgreed! I had to look twice to see the thin needles. She's SO pretty!

ReplyDeleteWylla, you're amazing! Laurie, you're such a wonderful MomKitty.
ReplyDeleteshe looks adorable with acupuncture needles in all her floof. :)
Thanks for sharing the kitty acupuncture photos. It is so fine that she enjoys these treatments. Horses also enjoy acupuncture sessions, only the needles aren't so small. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh, Wylla! She knows what makes her feel better!
ReplyDeleteWhat a little sweetie she is. So, have the vets fallen in love with her, too? (After all, everyone else has. shhh. Don't tell LG.)
ReplyDeleteI have never seen acupuncture needles, so this was interesting. She does look relaxed, and I'm glad they are helping her.
ReplyDeleteit's as if she knows this would make her get better. she's a one of a kind kitten.
ReplyDeleteWonderful!
ReplyDeleteSuch an adorable little patient :)
If Wylla's acupuncture makes her feel as good as it does when I have it, I'm not surprised she's so good for it. Plus she's a smart little girl who knows what makes her feel so much healthier!
ReplyDeleteWylla knows what's good for her :) She truly personifies the word "patient"....What a little sweetie she is, I'm so glad she's feeling better.
ReplyDeleteThere is something magical about this little kitty and I'm not kidding.
ReplyDeleteAgreed!
DeleteAmazing!
ReplyDeleteShe's exquisite!! I have no real opinion on alternative meds, so long as it does not cause her any serious pain.:)
ReplyDeleteLove this little girl! (and of course the Bean too!) <3
ReplyDeleteWe are thankful for the good news, too, Laurie! That little girl is something special!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! And I'm glad the acupuncture is helping.

ReplyDeleteI doubt the acupuncture is helping. The love and attention will be doing far more, and you could get that without actually putting the needles in. Maybe as an experiment try going through the whole routine but without actually piercing the skin with any needles, see if there's a difference.
