We've had a nice stretch of rain-free days, so we've been walking every day this week. Yesterday was a wee bit cool, so before we stepped out, Wylla slipped into her sweater.
Our walk was brief.
I had intentions of walking the length of the sidewalk on our block.
But instead, we walked the width of the sidewalk.
And sat in the leaves and grass.
Oh but what a sweet walk! The sweater is adorable, and nature is definitely Wylla-colored right now. Such a wee beauty!
ReplyDeleteSo fetching in her lovely owl sweater. Maybe tomorrow her walk will take her all the way to the corner.
ReplyDeletesometimes sitting and watching is the best part of the walk :)
ReplyDeleteMercy! You're killing me with the cute.
ReplyDeleteDoes Wylla when you get out her sweater because it means she's going to go outside? My cats KNOW when I'm going to open a can of wet food for them by the sounds I make getting the plate out. So I'm wondering if Wylla has done something similar.
ReplyDeleteHer harness goes on first, and she seems to make the association that harness means leaving the house.
DeleteWho, who is that adorable kit-kat? What a hoot she is. :-)
ReplyDeleteCats! Are they not the funniest. :)
ReplyDeleteI envy your neighbours! I would be surprised if they weren't out in droves to watch that gorgeous little girl in her sweet owl seater!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy for her my eyes are teary.
ReplyDeleteWell, Wylla's version of stop and smell the roses!
ReplyDeleteWylla there is nothing wrong with walking the width :)
ReplyDeleteClearly Wylla has her own ideas of just what a proper walk consists of. Your job, as a human, is to obediently escort her where she prefers to go. In case you had any doubts, I think they're pretty clearly settled at this point. :)
ReplyDeleteLa di da, what a beautiful day. The leaves are just lovely and - squirrel!
DeleteI am so in love with the pictures you post of the wee Miss Wylla.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the first picture.. and of course the owl sweater. Wish that my girls would pose as well. Be patient Laurie, cats have their own ideas about what they will and won't do.. After more practice she may cooperate.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous Fall kitty Wylla is!
ReplyDeleteI love how she works the sidewalk as well as she works the camera!
The sweater is so charming on our girl!
ReplyDeleteCats are so much more interesting than dogs! (And Wylla is particularly so.)
ReplyDeleteRon and I laughed ourselves silly this morning looking at these photos and reading your account, Laurie. "Our walk was brief."
ReplyDeleteThis tiny girl has brought so much joy into the world, and we're just her besotted admirers.
I just laughed....
ReplyDeleteMaybe Wylla doesn't want to wear the sweater while walking. Maybe it's too hot. Maybe there are mean girl-cats in the neighborhood who would make fun of Wylla for wearing an Owl Sweater? I imagine that the life of a teenage cat is full of drama.
ReplyDeletemeh, length, width, who's picky, it's a nice day for a stroll. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to know that there's another cat who doesn't walk far on walks, and who gets distracted easily. My Bisse wants to go outside, but I'll only let her if she's on a leash (we live right next to a major valley-coast through way in Oregon). She never goes far because she gets so distracted. Thanks to Wylla for the reassurance!
ReplyDeleteOh what a beauty. She is definitely a fall kitty. Her colors look so perfect with the fall background. Gorgeous!
