An Audrey Update!

I was so excited to see this adorable tabby face pop into my inbox the other day.

Friends, it's Audrey Stout!

So you can see how much she's grown, here's a picture of wee Audrey before she was adopted.  She still has the same round eyes,  pink nose,  and adorable stripey arms.

Here she is stalking her big sister Mija, who happens to look an awful lot like her little sister Wylla!

And here's what mama Ashley had to say about her girl...

Her name is now Freyja. Let me warn you, if you decide to name your kitten after a norse warrior goddess, you get what you ask for. She loves to hunt toes, toy mice, and her big sis Mija. At the end of it all, she will burrow under the covers for a nice long cuddle (complete with happy kitten drool). She is starting to get a little frustrated because she is outgrowing some of her tiny kitten hiding spots. She has the most adorable squeak.

Every once in a while, she will meow like a regular cat, but usually we just get squeaks. It was fun to look back at the posts of her as a tiny kitten. Her face and attitude are clearly the same, but she's grown a bit more sleek. I can also see a sibling resemblance in some of Wylla's facial expressions.

Thank you so much for sharing the photos and update, Ashley!  It's great to see how she's grown into such a lovely young lady!

We think of her often, and happy to know she's doing so well. .

  1. Oh, Audrey. My favorite crazypants kitten. You have grown up to be such a pretty young lady, Freyja. And I am so happy to hear you are still full of the dickens. Take care, wee one. ♥ ♥ ♥

PS Is it just me or does the beautiful Mija look like a cross between Beanie and Wylla?

  3. She is gorgeous! And yes, we can see the same wide-eyed look that Wylla has. I loved the pic of Frejya stalking Mija! Thank you so much for the update Ashley! (And Laurie too of course. And thanks to Charlene, Wylla and Mija. Oh and Fryja for posing for the pictures!)

  6. It's definitely the eyes -- the resemblance there with Wylla is amazing! Freyja is growing up to be as beautiful a girl as her sister Wylla and her new sister Mija. Thank you so much for the Audrey update -- I've often wondered how she's doing! I wonder how much bigger than Wylla she is now?

  8. Thank you, Ashley! I was so surprised to see her name, Freyja, because I am godmother to another kitty named Freyja also! (her dog brother is Thorson).
She is lovely. Her Wylla eyes are beautiful. I think everyone who follows IBKC was hoping that she had grown strong and happy. Yay!

  9. How awesome, Audrey-Freyja is just beautiful and glad to hear she is still the scrappy little play girl she was in the beginning. She does have Wylla's same wide-eyed look but Ashley's descriptions (squeaky, feisty and loving) make her sound like my own little tabby girl Lissa (short for Sweet Melissa). Thanks to Ashley and Laurie for sharing this update!

  15. Thank you for the update Freyja's mom. I tried to foster a kitten who wouldn't meow, only squeak. She never learned how to meow so she still squeaks at 5 years old an 16lbs. It's funny (well I think it's funny). I hope she'll be squeaking for years to come.

  16. I would be pretty amazing if Wylla and Freyja can meet one another again one day! I would love to see the sisters reunited and how they would react. So much cuteness!
