From his mama, Monika...
Your talented foster son, Jimmy Tipton, is now nearly one-year-old! He seeks out fruits and vegetables which he proceeds to carry about the house. He also finds peanuts and places them in our empty shoes. So funny, smart, inventive and dear...
Thank you for this great picture and good laugh, Monika! Please give that silly boy some love from all of us!
Please send Jimmy Tipton some love from us -- if I know anything about cats (and I know THIS), that tail says he's in the top 1% of Happiest Cats in the World.
ReplyDeleteDale-Harriet, that tail! It's the second thing I noticed, after I got done laughing hysterically at darling Jimmy, squash hunter extraordinaire.
Deletenot to mention that jaunty front paw (!) & adorable & determined face!!
Deletei feel dumb but is that a real squash?
ReplyDeleteYes, it's real!
DeleteThey're delicious too, you can eat the peel so a lot less work than a butternut!

DeleteRawr! lol
ReplyDeleteI love how the squash is still bigger than Jimmy's head! Awww. He's grown into such a handsome cat too. Good work Team IBKC and Jimmy's mom Monika!!
ReplyDeleteDidn't you know that hunting delicata squash is a rite of passage for his cat culture and he is now a man...cat!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, Laurie! You should know better than to post a picture this amazing without a warning. My head just about exploded from the overload of funny and cute! In other news, HOW IS HE EVEN CARRYING THAT??? Jimmy, you are awesome. Thanks for the laugh!
ReplyDeleteHe is demonstrating how strong his teeth are!
Deletetoo cute. wouldn't you love to know what is going through his head?
ReplyDeleteWhat a treasure he is!!
ReplyDeletePhotoshop? How in the world would he bite it...
ReplyDelete*Too funny!*
That's what I thought too. I wouldn't put it past a cat to go carrying squashes around, but I'm confused as to what he's actually biting into.
DeleteSquash or no squash, the tail doesn't lie--that is one proud cat!
Jimmy Tipton is perfect, right down to his happy -- and superlong -- tale.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he's part squirrel or chipmunk?
ReplyDeleteHa! Look at him! He is proud of his squash. Love that tabby. He's gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWell, this is just ridiculously cute. Jimmy is a wee farmer, with a perfect stripey tail.
ReplyDeleteWHAT?! Wow!! That is some remarkable tooth action!
ReplyDeleteOf course I had to go back and look at his baby pictures... so, so cute.
Oh good Lord!! What a ferocious hunter boy, bringing home that elusive delicata for his family. Bless his little heart, and Monika's too, for sending this update.
ReplyDeleteThat is so darn adorable!!! Love it.
ReplyDeleteJimmy, dear, squash isn't for kitties, and if you want to catch a squirrel, you need to put those nuts outside, not in your humans' shoes. XD What a silly boy!
ReplyDeleteOh, he was cute enough as a kitten, but now!! NOW he has to go and do this! Handsome silly boy!
ReplyDeleteI've been kind of down all day, but thanks to Jimmy, I finally had a laugh. What a sweet, silly boy.
ReplyDeleteI have loved me some Jimmy Tipton from Day One!! It's that tabby boy thing...what a funny little honey he is :) too dang cute for words!!
ReplyDeleteOh my! Jimmy is one handsome, hilarious fellow. Lucky humans who have this guy. I haven't posted much lately but have to say how much I have enjoyed all the Wylla lately and love the time change topic. My hefty boy Rock still hasn't adjusted. Thanks for all the great posts!
ReplyDeleteWhat a dear, happy, stripey boy he is!
ReplyDeleteIn regards to the questions about how he could bite into it- "Delicata" squash have quite thin skin compared to butternut and such. (Random fun fact- my marmie Colby was named Butternut when he was a foster- his brothers were Butterscotch and Butterum. And his tortie sister, Cherry.)
What a funny and handsome tabby boy he is. (Yes, LG, you are funny and handsome, too.) Also, I need to try delicata for my squash and apple bisque recipe. Love butternut but not the associated peeling and cutting up. (Yes, LG, speaking of food, it may be time for a little something.)
ReplyDeleteIf Monika is in the mood for a follow-up, I would love to see close-ups of the tooth marks on all that produce. And where does Jimmy take all that squash? Is it just one hiding place, or does Monika have to hunt all over the house? Inquiring minds want to know! :)
ReplyDeleteMore! I want more pictures of jimmy carrying all sorts of vegetables and fruits. So cute and funny.
