Craig got out of work a little late last night, so by the time we finished up dinner, visited the tree lot, then the other tree lot, and came home with the perfect tree, it was getting a little late to start decorating.
We got the tree into the stand and it's placed in the corner, but that's where we stopped. As soon as I'm done with this post and return some emails, I'll start stringing the lights.
Wylla is only mildly curious about the big green beast in the living room. She did stick her nose under the tree while we were filling up the stand with water, but she was in the middle of a game at the time, and had to leave to go chase Bean up and down the stairs.
Thankfully, there have been no attempts to climb into the branches or up the trunk. Of course that may all change once all of the shiny, dangly temptations are on the tree!
But for now, all is going well.
Last year we had the Loudermilk Boys when tree went up. Remember their little bell choir?
That vid is a Christmas classic! Thanks and Happy Merry
ReplyDeleteOur 5 mo old kitten is seeing her first tree this week too - I want to scold her for climbing in it, but it provides so many adorable photo opportunities!… all of that combined with watching her first snowfall from the windows has her in sensory overload, for sure!
ReplyDeleteEeeeee the adorable Loudermilks! <3
ReplyDeleteAnd my personal favorite from a few years back...

Love the Bell Choir but the "PurrrrrMerrrooww(pick me up, please)" is the best!
ReplyDeleteSweetest bell choir ever! Especially love the little "meow" added in!
ReplyDeletePerfect lower tree ornaments! They were so fascinated they never bothered to go higher?
ReplyDeleteThe bells kept them busy enough.
DeleteOh, yay!! I have been waiting for this video! I hope it becomes an annual tradition, like the Turkey paw at Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteI second that wish! Such a cute video. Love them Loudermilks!
DeleteAw. Since you've been letting Ms. Wylla climb trees outside, maybe she thinks it's an outside activity. Or, on the other hand, she might think it's so sweet of you to bring that tree inside for her amusement. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteMy girls never did anything more than chase each other under the tree. It wobbled, but never fell and they weren't interested in the ornaments at all. Guess I got lucky!
ReplyDeleteI love little Wylla but do miss the clowders and wonder if you'll ever foster again?
ReplyDeleteWe will, we're just to ready to receive guests yet.
Deletei forgot about that very special musical, thanks for the replay!
ReplyDeleteOMG, I can't believe I missed this post last year - it's sooo sweet and cute...totally put me in the Christmas spirit. I love the little mews the boys are making while they play! I agree w/the folks above, this should become an IBKC Christmas classic!
ReplyDeleteI love me some Loudermilks! And I love that Wylla left the tree to continue chasing her sister.
