THIS PAINTING!
It was created by our pal Sharon in honor of Wylla's first birthday. You may recognize the image - it was part of the little video I created of all of your birthday greetings.
We absolutely adore it, Sharon, and we thank you for this very precious gift. You've captured our wee girl so perfectly. We will treasure this beautiful piece a lifetime!
Thank you , thank you, thank you!

PERFECT! It is hard to capture the essence of a personality.... sometimes just a light in the eye. This IS Wylla!
ReplyDeleteAny chance people could buy prints of this for the next fundraiser?
ReplyDeleteMost likely no, I've got something else planned already.
DeleteSimply lovely, just like Wylla herself!! Sharon has mad skills....:)
ReplyDeleteThat's just beautiful! Sharon "got" Wylla perfectly!
ReplyDeleteOh so cute. I sure hope that Ms. Bean doesn't get jealous for all the presents Wylla got.
ReplyDeleteWow. That is indeed the essence of Wylla. What an awesome gift.
ReplyDeleteWylla says, "MOMMA! Look! I'm so pretty!"
ReplyDeleteWhat magnificent floof depiction! (And that was a lot of floof to depict.)
ReplyDeleteIts beautiful, I hope this does not come across as cheeky, but would you get copies and sell them?
ReplyDeleteNot cheeky at all, Anne, but I don't think I'll be doing that.
DeleteThank you for getting back to me
DeleteWhat a lovely present! Sharon is so talented, and Wylla seems very happy with her likeness!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love the way Wylla's helping to show it off, just like a tiny spokes model.
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely portrait and Wylla seems to be very flattered by it as well. One of the best things about this blog is seeing how many talented people follow it.
ReplyDeleteOh, so beautiful. What a wonderful present that you'll be able to enjoy for years.
ReplyDeleteI have paintings of my boys and a colored pencil drawing of my Sammy, all gifts. I treasure those works of art so much. It's especially wonderful to have the drawing of my Sam now that she's over the bridge.
Buddy and Tiger's Mom
Love the look on Wylla's face in the 2nd picture.. Mom! It's me!
ReplyDelete:)
What a beauty!!
ReplyDeleteWow! She is incredibley talented and it does capture Wee Wylla perfectly.
ReplyDeleteI think Wylla is saying, "Mom, is that really me?" So cute - both the portrait and our baby girl in person (in catness?)!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! I've been thinking of getting portraits of our Satchmo and Ava done.
ReplyDeleteshes gorgeous! she looks exactly like her portrait! I hope the Bean isn't jealous- please tell her we all love her above and all new comers! But we save wonderful thoughts and kisses for Wylla!
ReplyDeleteSharon, beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful painting and Wylla is sitting so pretty beside it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely portrait--Wylla is saying, "It looks just like me!"
ReplyDeleteah...my heart...If I have a daughter I might just name her Wylla.
ReplyDeleteI have only just seen this-I was in the midst of moving on Wednesday and haven't had time to look at the blog at all until today. Thank you all for your kind words, and thank you Laurie for sharing this on the blog. It was so much fun to paint-I do hope you enjoy having it. And maybe one of Bean is in order next...?
