It happened! It FINALLY happened! Wee Wylla has rolled past the five-pound mark!
She's been hovering just below for weeks, and last night when I put her on the scale, she had crossed the line.
I thought for sure that leaving a couple of little logs in the litter box this morning might take her below, but nope, this morning I weighed her (post poop) and she's still there!!
So in case you were wondering what a five-pound cat looks like, here you go!!!
Well done, Wylla. You make me proud. Now, let's hit six! You're getting thicker, but I would love it if you could pack on another pound.
good job Wylla!!!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! Go Wylla!
ReplyDeleteGood job Wylla! If only us humans could be as happy about packing on the pounds :P
ReplyDeleteI'm in agreement with your mom: well done, wee Wylla!
ReplyDeleteGood job Wylla! Keeping eating girlfriend!
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Wylla! You keep gaining weight and getting healthy!
ReplyDeleteAnd a question, Laurie: Where did you find that lovely scale? It's just beautiful!
I don't recall, I've had the scale for years. Possibly Target.
DeleteGood job on eating, Miss Wylla! And how does Mom get you to sit so pretty in the scale? Where did she get the scale?
ReplyDeleteI don't recall, I've had the scale for years. Possibly Target.
Delete"Moooom, why do I have to sit in the bowl? I don't like this bowl. You don't let me sit in any of the -fun- looking ones..!"
ReplyDeleteGreat job for Wylla and even more for you, Laurie. Watching her wait to get to this point had to have been draining!
Of course, Wylla, as kitties do, decided that she'd just have her own way and time. Tsk. XD
I love that! Keep growing, Wylla. We are all sending love to you!
ReplyDeleteWylla can have a couple of my extra pounds!
ReplyDeleteWylla can have a couple of my extra pounds!
ReplyDeleteThe bowl full of cute is getting fuller!
ReplyDeleteWylla is indeed continuing to blossom into a beautiful young cat thanks to tons of loving care. I hope you and Craig are justifiably proud of yourselves as well as of Wee Wylla!
ReplyDeleteYay, Wylla! You can have a few of my extra pounds, hon. ;D
ReplyDeleteYay, Wylla! All of that TLC is really working.
ReplyDeleteI'd also be happy to give Wylla some extra pounds. I bet we could get her up to 20 lbs in no time flat with donations!
Good going sweet Wylla.
ReplyDeleteOne more pound and you and my 16 year old Emme will weigh the same :)
Auntie Em
Atta way, wee one! It was the birthday soup, for sure. :-)
ReplyDeleteCongrats sweet girl! What an amazing job!
ReplyDeleteYay Wylla! And I love how you describe Miss Wylla's daily constitution, "a couple of little logs". They can also be described as Tootsie Rolls, since that is what my dogs think they are. :-)
ReplyDeleteYAY , for Scylla !
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Can we still call her Wee Wylla? Way to go girl! Don't worry - if 6 pounds is too much, we'll love you the same at 5+ pounds.
ReplyDeleteWoohoo!
ReplyDeleteI still think she looks a lot like a (miniature) Maine Coon -- which means she won't be full grown for a while yet. I know males can take up to four years to be fully-grown. Hopefully this means she can still put on good, heathy growth for another couple years!
Yay, Wylla! Pack it on, little wooly one!
ReplyDeleteWell done Wylla way to go girl
ReplyDeleteYou should feel proud Laurie! It's due to your efforts that the wee one is looking so robust. Congratulations to you both. Mary
ReplyDeleteOh dear, I believe I have your misplaced few extra pounds Miss Wyla. Please take them back as they'd look ever so much better on your floofiness! But congratulations on making it to the five pound mark my dear!
ReplyDeleteYay Wylla!!
ReplyDeleteHow on earth do you get her to just sit in the scale pan??
Bless her little furry body!

Pretty soon, there'll be a new expression to use when we have to man up in a crisis: "Put on your Wylla pants."
