Wylla has had some very good weeks recently, and her struggles to keep her food down have been minimal. Honestly, I can't recall the last time I had to clean up a regurgitated meal. I think all these vertical naps she's been taking are really making a difference.
She was at 4.5 pounds since mid-Novemeber, but recently, she's gained a few ounces, which is awfully quick for her, and she's currently at 4.875 pounds. She feels much thicker through the middle.
I had high hopes she she might roll past five pounds by the time she turned one, she didn't, but I think we'll see it soon.
I'm proud of this girl. She's trying very hard to become less wee.
What a charmer :D Look at her! Posing on the scale :) Gotta love that gorgeous girl!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, these pictures absolutely slay me! She seems to have an old soul. I can't put my finger on it, but there is something about her that makes me think so. She couldn't be more beautiful if she tried!
ReplyDeleteOld soul describes her so well. She never seems to be fazed by anything! I hope she stays wee!
DeleteLOL - she is too much! Good job growing less wee Wylla! <3
ReplyDeletecutest. wylla. photos. yet!
ReplyDeleteWell now we are all going to have to start calling her Less Wee Wylla! Way to go, little kitty!
ReplyDeleteDon't we all wish our new years resolution was to GAIN weight.
ReplyDeleteShe may be wee but she's mighty. Mighty cute!
I think that's one pose we won't see big sister Charlene agreeing to do any time soon! ;)
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Wylla -- though I have to ask, Laurie, do you prewarm the metal bowl to make her look so content in it?
ReplyDeleteWee Wylla is perfect. PERFECT, I tell you -- at any size.
ReplyDeleteoh my heavens....LOVE those pictures. :)
ReplyDeleteShe is so brave to pose on a scale for the whole internet to see. ;)
ReplyDeleteHahaha...this had me giggling.
DeleteShe is so stunning I tell you!
ReplyDeleteLove the scale! And Congrats to Wylla for gaining weight! No matter how large she gets, she will always be Wee Wylla Stout
ReplyDeleteThis is one girl who is not afraid to show everyone her weight! Good job Wylla, we are all so proud of you :)
ReplyDeleteI'd just be so proud if one of my cats would sit nice in the bowl like that!
ReplyDeleteOh, she's such a gorgeous, floofy, ittle bitty kitty.
ReplyDeleteYay, Wylla! Keep going! You can do it, girl! You can weigh five pounds!
ReplyDeleteI love all of today's pictures. The first two are, to me, the cutest, though. She's so adorable, curled up in the bowl.
A bowl full of cute! I would like seconds, please!
ReplyDeleteHow could you not love that...
ReplyDeleteI love the third picture - it looks like she is trying to read her weight on the scale :)
ReplyDeleteBut if she becomes less "wee," aren't you afraid she'll become less "Squee"!?!
ReplyDeleteshe is just a beauty!
ReplyDeleteNot to be uncouth, but for purely comparative purposes, could you share Miss Charlene's weight with us?
ReplyDeleteShe usually falls somewhere between 12 and 13 pounds.
DeleteGosh, Wylla is nearly as big as my Emily (5.5 lbs) now! She poses so beautifully while being weighed, too. :)
ReplyDeleteIs it just me or doesn't she look darn proud of herself in the second photo? Happy to hear she's been doing well!
ReplyDeleteBut even if she becomes as massive as my Maine Coon, Boris, at 34 lbs., she will always be Wee Wylla to us!
ReplyDeleteoh..my..!
DeleteOkay, as much as I love the pictures of Wylla (and Bean…and I do so love the pictures and accompanying descriptions), the comments from readers and fans just fill me with love. "Less wee, less squee"? Gah! "I'd like seconds, please." "Old soul." Yes! Brave to show the world the scale. That! Thank you, readers, for what you write.
ReplyDeleteSorry...I couldn't help myself! :)
DeleteShe needs another birthday tuna cake to put her over the 5lb mark! :)
ReplyDeletewylla is non-stop adorable!!
ReplyDeleteWylla don't take no guff from nobody! Photo 2: "Yeah, I'm 4.8 pounds now! You're not the boss of me! Bring it!!!"
ReplyDeleteThat cat really moves my inner soul :)
