Both girls always come running when they hear the sound of a clinking spoon in a bowl. All good things come in bowls, you know.
So, as Craig finished his ice cream the girls gathered 'round and starting screaming. And when Craig offered Wylla the spoon so she could lick it clean, she nearly took down Bean trying to get to it.
Don't worry, Bean got a treat too - something better suited for floofier cats. No ice cream for Charlene.
So Wylla doesn't really like to share, either!
ReplyDeleteHA!
DeleteWhen my cats were young kittens, if I sat on the couch eating a bowl of ice cream, I would literally be holding the bowl up in the air, above my head, to try to stop the kittens from getting at it. And then they would climb up my arms to try to get their noses into the bowl that smelled so yummy!
ReplyDeleteMy cats could be asleep in CUBA and they would still be able to hear ice cream or ice cream sandwiches being eaten!!
DeleteI LOVE your area rug! Where did you get it?
ReplyDeleteThe trick is to only eat soy ice cream. My cats couldn't care less about it!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Maybe ice cream would help Wylla put on a pound... It always works that way for me, though it doesn't stop at just adding ONE pound.
ReplyDeleteOne of our cats is convinced that we only use the oven to bake salmon. Any time we open the oven door he comes running, thinking that we are taking the salmon out and will therefore give him some. He's so disappointed the times when it turns out to be vegetables...
Cats know that they can enjoy the treat, and dogs can't. Cats rule.. dogs drool. :) All 3 of my cats are ice creamaholics as well. Unfortunately for them, Mom doesn't *need* ice cream, so it's not in the house very often.
ReplyDeleteIce cream has that effect on me, too. OUT OF THE WAY!
ReplyDeleteEmily is absolutely crazy about ice cream -- unless it's chocolate. She turns up her nose at chocolate ice cream. Which makes it much easier to eat my ice cream without a certain curious nose getting between the spoon and my mouth....
ReplyDeletePoor Charlene! She doesn't even get a single LICK of ice cream? I thought she was floofy, not fat! :-) And does ice cream agree with Wylla's tummy, or does she get little enough of it that it's not an issue?
There's only a teeny bit on the spoon for her, and it's not enough to be an issue.
DeleteHee, hee... Wily little Wylla!
ReplyDeleteCats definitely learn where the good stuff is. Too funny! I'd love to see video of these two screaming for ice cream. I love the picture. Charlene deserves to be left out, after so meanly depriving her sister yesterday and all. ;D
ReplyDeleteMy mother would enjoy a small bowl of ice cream in the afternoon, and would let her cat lick the traces out of the 'empty' bowl. Once when I went grocery shopping with her, I noticed the were stocking a new flavor. "Have you tried it?" "Yes - It's not bad, but Maggie doesn't care for it."
ReplyDeleteWe are all cat servants....
Too true... I'm apartment hunting and one of the first questions I consider is 'how will this work with the cats?' I guess I can argue that hey, they'll be home more than I will?
DeleteI selected the carpet in my first house to match the cat.
DeleteAwwww, Wylla! My Olaf also loves to lick the spoon when I'm done eating ice cream... as long as it's plain vanilla, that is. Picky kitty is picky!
ReplyDeleteMy Tiger loves the cream I put in my morning coffee. I have a very difficult time keeping him from helping himself from the cream pitcher and sometimes lose the battle.
ReplyDeleteBuddy and Tiger's Mom
My baby broh=ther, Rocky, would shiver as he ate ice cream. I'd pet him as he trembled, but not stopping for a second lapping up his ice cream. Rcky was my childhood cat and the one who made me the cat lady I am today. :)
ReplyDeleteI feel for ya, Bean! Sometimes it sucks to diet....Mary A
ReplyDeleteAdorable. Scarlett shares Wylla's enthusiasm for ice cream and has been known to stick her entire head into a pint container to lick the drips at the bottom.
