Wylla loves watching sports on TV, so she's really enjoyed all of the Olympic events we've been watching the past couple of weeks.
Normally, she sits on the floor beneath the television to observe, but this week I decided to move a cat tower close, so she could have a better seat.
She loves it.
And she's not the only cat who enjoys the Games. Here's our little buddy Jimmy Timpton doing the same.
Of course, this is our favorite event.
What's her favorite sport? Or has she, as a first time viewer, not decided yet? ;)
ReplyDeleteMy little Taffy has shown a great interest in ice skating. She doesn't care for skiing or snow boarding and the bobsledding sends her running out of the room.
ReplyDeleteEmme loves to watch curling.
ReplyDeleteShe would never dream of participating. :)
Auntie Em
My Efrat used to love ice hockey (but she was Canadian, so it figured). My cats now are not as into sports, but they love Al Gore any time he is on the tv. They come running. I don't get it, but whatever floats their boat is fine with me.
ReplyDeleteMy cat, Bud, prefers gymnastics. He tries to knock the gymnasts off the balance beam.
ReplyDeleteLove the cat curling !!!
ReplyDeleteJimmy was destined to be an athlete. Here he is training for the 2020 Cat Olympics in Freestyle Squash Stealing.
ReplyDeleteBibi Winkler is also in training, for Featherweight Couch Domination. ;)
I forgot about those! Bibi and the couch make more sense than Jimmy and the squash. What made him think to pick a SQUASH up in his teeth is beyond me. A steak, I could see. But a squash? Dear silly boy. <3
DeleteWe were watching Planet Earth on the big screen HD. The segment was on the Arctic - white on white on white in a dark room. All of a sudden, a cat head edged up from below - it was the funniest thing - like the robots in profile on MST3K.
ReplyDeleteThat's because somebody told her it was the Sushi Olympics.
ReplyDeleteHahaha!
DeleteWe have some very devoted football fans at my house! It figures, then, that one of my fur babies is named after the University of Wisconsin mascot, Bucky Badger :-) Yay for sports fans!
ReplyDeleteI just love that you moved the cat tower to give her a better viewing experience for the Olympics! Am also loving that cat curling video - too funny!
ReplyDeleteI love to see the games too!
ReplyDeleteWylla is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWylla is such a little sports fan!! My kitties love to watch TV too, but it depends on the program. They were mesmerized by the Kitten Bowl, it was SOOO cute to watch them following the action with their heads moving back and forth!
ReplyDeleteWylla needs some Olympic gear to wear while she cheers on the USA. Cat curling is definitely going to be big in Sochi!
ReplyDeleteMy cat Sheba loves any video. She participates in my Google Hangout chats, chases hockey pucks, watches YouTube /very/ intently. It's so cute.
ReplyDeleteMy cat Sheba loves video of any kind. She'll watch YouTube, bat at hockey pucks, watch the skaters /very/ intently, and participate in my Google Hangout calls.
ReplyDeleteMy 2 terriers love watching the TV but it's tennis that does it for them. I think its the sound of the ball being hit back and forth. Both Wylla and Jimmy are very cute TV viewers!!
