Ten-year-old Isadora came by with Erika, her mother, to meet our tiny wards. First, we watched the kittens lunch, then Isadora sat down for a post-meal snuggle with Hazel.
As you can see by her shirt, Isadora is a huge fan of cats, so this visit with Effie and Hazel brought her a tremendous amount of joy. It triggered many giggles and smiles.
While Hazel cuddled with Isadora, Effie enjoyed snuggling in Erika's sweater. She batted at a loose thread, and gnawed on the seams of her dress.
Happy humans, happy kittens, and I'm guessing, a very fond memory for a ten-year-old girl.
Such a cute series of photos! Maybe Isadora will be a kitten foster parent when she grows up.
ReplyDeleteI love the look on Hazel's face in the third photo. It looks like she can't figure out if the cat on Isadora's shirt is real or not.
Isadora has been talking non-stop about Hazel since meeting her yesterday. She has also wants to start fostering kittens pronto.
ReplyDeleteI love this! And I'd talk non-stop about Hazel, too. Because oy, cuteness.
DeleteSo has Isadora suggested adopting Hazel yet, Erika? Clearly that sweet kitty was a huge hit with your daughter!
DeleteAdorable! A sweet girl with sweet kittens! Priceless!
ReplyDeleteLove the 8th pic of Hazel - "I snagged me a human!"
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing. This made me so happy!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this. It made me so happy!
ReplyDeleteThis is SO cute - what a great post Laurie. You can tell Isadora is in kitten heaven! I have to laugh because I think I have that exact same shirt!! (And I'm grown too...LOL!!)
ReplyDeleteI want to be your neighbor so I can visit and "help" with kittens, and Wylla, and Charlene.
ReplyDeleteditto!! :D
DeleteThese adorable kitten & human pictures have just improved my day immeasurably. Thank you. =^..^=
ReplyDeleteWhat totally sweet pictures! It's already clear that Hazel and Effie are going to be wonderful kitties for their permanent families. Such precious little snugglebugs -- thank you so much for sharing these lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteNothing better than a kitten (or two) 'SPLORING a human....funny fur, weird things on the face and a GIANT kitty!!!
ReplyDeleteI especially love the one of wee Hazel looking up at sweet Isadora (#8)!
ReplyDeletei want hazel & effie so bad!
ReplyDeleteWas it a potential adoption visit?
ReplyDeleteNope.
DeleteIsadora reminds me of me when I was ten. I had already raised my first bottle baby, when I was nine years old. It's funny how good kids can be with cats, even when they're silly and young. Isadora is probably old enough to do some volunteer work at a no-kill cat shelter, if her parents don't mind coming.
