My, how they've grown! The first photo was taken in early April, just a few days after the girls moved in. The one below was taken a few days ago.
Those rumpled little kitten lumps have really taken shape. They're both so pointy now! Their colors are really coming out.
The first photo does show a glimpse of the personalities that developed. Effie is most definitely the louder of the pair and the most outgoing. Hazel is a little more reserved, but so dear and sweet.
The girls are around ten weeks now. Effie is well over the two pound mark and Hazel just squeaked past it, so soon they'll be going in for surgery, then shortly after that, off to their new home.
Don't worry, we still have some time left with these two. I just wanted to warn you all because I think it's safe to say we all have fallen hard for these two, and saying goodbye isn't going to be easy.
Let's savor our last days with this precious pair.
Wish them all the love and kitty treats in the world

ReplyDeleteEffie may be more outgoing but it definitely seems like Hazel is the sillier one!
ReplyDeleteThey are so adorable! And boy, you can sure tell they are sisters. Their faces are almost identical.
ReplyDeleteagreed, look at those eyeballs!
DeleteIt's been really interesting watching them change. I just started following you right when you got Wylla (maybe a few weeks before that) so I haven't had a chance, aside from Her Mini-Floofiness, to see how the other kitties went from teenie weeny to more cat like.
ReplyDeleteSuch precious little girlies! <3
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! What a difference in those two little beauties. I envy the lucky person(s) who add Effie and Hazel to their home! Hope they send lots of updates....
ReplyDeleteLook at how happy they are in the second picture. I'm glad you were able to find a home for them.
ReplyDeleteThe white spot on Hazel's chin always makes me pause and think she has milk on her chin.
ReplyDeleteWhoever adopts them is a very lucky person indeed.
How I wish they were coming to live with me!
ReplyDeleteThose pointy chins! So much cute in one photo.
ReplyDeleteAdorable!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a couple of sweeties. Love Hazel's head-tilt.
ReplyDeleteThey still have the most worried eyes of any kitties in the West!
ReplyDeleteseriously worried, worried about worry, worrying all the time with those furrowy worrier eyes!
DeleteVery cute! Wish I lived in Sea-Tac area so I could consider adopting them. They look like a delightful pair.
ReplyDeleteTwo little kitties and how they grew (and grew and grew). It's too soon for them to leave! They have to stay for at least a few more months to delight us with their antics. Their new family will just have to wait. ;)
ReplyDeleteThey are too cute.
ReplyDeleteHome you said, that must mean they have one.
Yeah !!!
They have grown so fast, too fast. I think we were spoiled watching Wylla grow up. I hope more itty bitties will be home with you all very soon
ReplyDeletei love how hazel still has her unruly hair!
ReplyDeleteI missed your blog yesterday, I need my fill of Effie and Hazel and to see how miss Wylla Stout is doing and the queen Miss Charlene Butterbean. It makes my day and will make my weekend so happy to see them. Some wonderful family will be getting their share of them soon, I don't know how you both do it, it would break my heart but I do realize it is a big labor of love and sacrifice..kudos to you! ciaoXXX()()()
ReplyDeleteMust they go so sooooon???? I'd be a terrible foster mom as I wouldn't be able to give them up. You do great work hun, Jo x
ReplyDeleteIt’s been so heartening to see them grow and thrive. I especially love the change in Hazel’s eyes, how she’s gone from a sad looking little tyke to such an engaged, happy-go-lucky girl.
