It's THAT time of year again! This Thursday, we'll be kicking off the annual IBKC FUNdraiser for the Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County. For those of you who are new to the IBKC, it's quite an event, and the funnest FUNdriser you'll ever see. It's filled with all sorts of heartfelt moments, there's lots of cheering and happy tears, we all give a little, and together we raise SQUILLIONS to help homeless cats and kittens. It's the feel-good moment of the year!
The Kibblesmiths will be taking their first shift in the phone bank, and we've been training hard, but as you can see, they are not quite there yet.
I really hope they're up to speed by Thursday morning because Day One is always huge, AND we're starting things off with a HUGE matching donation challenge. They're going to have to be in top form to take all of your calls!
Please wish us luck.
*hopelessly giggling* Oh dear. That's not quite good phone call behavior, kiddo, even if the caller is wrong. :-p
ReplyDeleteOooh boy...definitely need more training....
ReplyDeleteTime for Aunty Pols annual post..." LET'S ROCK THIS ! "
ReplyDeleteAll thumbs, those kittens.
ReplyDeleteWe'll all be there! Just met Baxter's mom at a mutual conference! how fun is that!
ReplyDeleteOh, meOOOWWWW!!!! Lily and Siam and sooo looking forward to the FUNraiser and this year's telethon set! We are looking forward to Thursday with eager paws!
ReplyDeleteYep. They need Charlene and Wylla to help them. But, no matter what they do, they are still totally adorable doing it!
ReplyDeleteGah, they're so cute I can hardly stand it! I've got my credit card ready and waiting for the Kibblesmiths to take my donation.
ReplyDelete"I said your job is telephone *greeting*, not telephone *eating*!"
ReplyDeleteBean's going to want to renegotiate her training fees after seeing this group. *G*
DeleteHahahahahaha....such silly naughty babies.
ReplyDeleteIs there a facebook page for this event? Because I am definitely going!
ReplyDeleteA white couch...with the Kibblesmiths?! Ohhhh dear. ;-)
ReplyDeleteLaurie, your sets are always so incredible! Love the gauzy curtains!
That is so sweet! Love the tiny typewriter.
ReplyDeleteOh my, I hope there won't be another incident like the Great Telephone Room Riot of 2010.
ReplyDelete...I'm actually kind of hoping for another Great Telephone Room Riot for this year. ; )
DeleteOMG - climbing the curtains isn't appropriate behavior for call takers! Keep practicing. Squee!
ReplyDeletePerhaps Sheer Drapes were not the best choice...but I am counting down the days until it is Senior Cat Donation Day!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking that too! Can wait to honor my kitty girls who crossed the bridge.
DeleteBuddy and Tiger's Mom
Oh, my! (LOL) I see what you mean. Ok, Bean & Wylla, you really have your training cut out for you.
ReplyDeleteRosemary K.
Mpls.
Oh, dear...ladies, I don't think you were paying attention to Ms. Laurie earlier when she was telling you the rules for working in the phone center. Evie, no climbing the walls! Maeve, phones are not noms!
ReplyDeleteHee hee, silly kittens! You're supposed to take phone "calls" not "crawls." Oh, all right. Here's my wallet. Just take whatever you like. Buy yourselves something shiny.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to another fundraiser with another batch of adorable kittens! They may not be good at answering calls but they definitely will encourage us to donate.
ReplyDeleteOMG! They are so darned cute!
ReplyDeleteI hear Maeve thinking "Puppy dog! Why can't I just have opposable thumbs like a normal person?"
ReplyDelete***Note: I'm guessing "puppy dog" might be an appropriate kitten equivalent of "darn it"
Oh my, that is adorable. I was wondering, will you have another poster this year? I have the last two and would love to add to my collection.
ReplyDeleteNot this year, Claire. We'll do it again in the future, but not this season.
DeleteJenna was relaxing beside my laptop. When the phone in the video rang she jumped up and gave me the stinkeye. She thinks the kittens need more training, too ;-)
