Why?
Because something awesome landed in my email box and I need to share it with you!
Yes! I got an update from Effie and Hazel's parents, and I know you're going to want to see how well they're doing, how big they've grown, and how happy they are.
Here you go!!
At this very moment they are running like banshees all around the apartment playing chase and tackle. Their speed has picked up quite a bit over the last 10 weeks.
They seemed to settle in to their new world very easily. I’m sure thanks to you and Wylla and Bean for teaching them the ropes. They are super wild and crazy at times, and super sweet and cuddly when not. We’re into some normal routines and the girls have their favorite toys and places. They are by far the loudest purr-ers I’ve ever heard!
We gave the girls middle names (and they go by nicknames of those): Effie Prudence Brisker (Pru) and Hazel Esmerelda Swift (Ezzie) A bit of a story with the names in that I had these names picked out in my head for years and years. Well before we lost our other two cats. After losing them and time passed and we were feeling like maybe we were ready to have new life in the house, I guess I kind of knew that when I saw Pru and Ezzie I would just know it. And crazy as it is, that’s exactly what happened when I saw the first picture of these two.
They have certainly grown. Effie (Pru) is 5 ¾ lbs and Hazel (Ezzie) is 5 lbs. We still are not very adept at taking pictures but we have attached a couple so you can at least see them. They lost their kitten fluff and have very sleek, shiny coats. Ezzie is even just a bit sparkly somehow. Not that these photos capture it.
Hope all is well in your household.
Warm regards, Patrick & Wendy
Thank you so much for sending this update, Wendy and Patrick. The girls are gorgeous, and so are the photos. It's so great seeing them again and we're so happy you all are so happy together. Clearly, this kittens were meant to be yours!
Pru and Ezzie are beautiful cats. How great is it to get such a fun update on those two kitties? They look so intelligent and so sweet. They were meant to belong right in that home. You are so right, Laurie- they always land where they should.
ReplyDeleteI am SO glad these beautiful sisters got to stay together!!! Happy Kitties, Happy Family :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great update! Also, Ezzie might have "glitter", which is a scattering of clear hairs throughout her coat. Those hairs reflect strong light and shine -- it's like the way water glitters in the sunlight. It's a rare trait, so enjoy!
ReplyDelete(My late great Sweetpea had glitter. She was beautiful).
How cool! I've had cats for 30 years and I've never heard this. You learn something new every day!
DeleteI know it's a Bengal thing, but don't know much more.
DeleteI love the "we haven't quite grown into our ears" stage of kittenhood!
ReplyDeleteIf nothing else, they learned Giant Googly Eyes from Wylla. Very nice. :-)
ReplyDeleteTina K.
The side views are so gorgeous. What beauties these two are.
ReplyDeleteOh, such beautiful girls! The pictures are terrific, too -- their mom needn't apologize for her photography skills. Thanks so much for the update!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful girls -- and they're clearly adored and adoring. What more could one ask for?!
ReplyDeleteYeah! Nice notice!
ReplyDeleteHazel doesn't look worried anymore!
ReplyDeleteSo nice to have an update on these two! They are growing up to be gorgeous kitties! They look very happy and healthy in their furever home.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Are they feeding them kitty fertilizer? They're growing like weeds! And for not being very adept at taking pictures, these look great. :)
ReplyDeleteOMG, Effie and Hazel are SO CUTE !
ReplyDeleteI had a rough day, came home, opened IBCC and saw such adorable photos ! I feel better already !
Thanks for sharing ! Especially that first picture...I laughed when I saw it....so so cute ! A couple of little inquisitive trouble-makers! Congrats on your new little charges.
I love the kitty 'pile' with the two of them on the sofa. A calm moment.
ReplyDeleteOh they are growing up so adorable!
ReplyDeleteAlways so lovely to see the alumni, gorgeous and grown-up. I'm glad these two girls are making their forever family so happy.
ReplyDeleteSuch big tall ears! They're gorgeous!

They are gorgeous kitties and gorgeous pics. Hazel doesn't look worried now. She looks serene. Maybe it's because she found her forever home.
ReplyDeleteI hope you showed this update to Wylla, Laurie, since this was her first foster litter. What fabulous photos Patrick and Wendy, you captured their essence and let us see how they’ve grown and changed.
ReplyDeleteI’m especially thrilled to see how Hazel has gone from fuzzy little worry wart to sleek and cuddly girl. Thanks so much!
