That sweet little Midge turns fierce when we get out the feather wand. Once her jaws lock onto that bird, it's not easy getting her to let go. She gets all growly, her ears flatten, toes are clenched, and if any of her siblings come too close, paws bat them away.
Thankfully, when we do manage it from pry it from her grip, she instantly returns to her sweet self.
The mighty tabby hunter!
ReplyDeleteOh boy.... Airplane Ears
ReplyDeleteToo funny...that's what we've always called them too! ;-)
DeleteAh, yes. The adorable, adorbale predator comes out of her fuzzy shell. MINE. MY KILL. :-) Is there anything cuter than a little kitten hunter? Love, Darin.
ReplyDeleteWonderfully fierce!
ReplyDeleteShe looks blissfully so in the 4th photo.
That is hilarious- and a good sign that hunting makes perfect sense to her. I look forward to some video.
ReplyDeleteNothing's cuter than fierce cuteness. I am a tiny hunter! Pew pew pew!
ReplyDeleteLove me some MIDGE! Especially in hunting mode!
ReplyDeleteOh, the ears!
ReplyDeleteAnd the toes!!
:)
From A Midsummer's Night Dream: "And though she be but little, she is fierce."
ReplyDeleteOoh, nice airplane ears. Grrrr - go get 'em, turbo tabby!
ReplyDeleteOh the ears scream GIMME!
ReplyDeleteI love them all but Midge grabbed me from the first day. And now, with her Flying Nun ears....well, I can only shriek OMG OMG OMG OMG
ReplyDeleteWith those ears flattened, she looks like a gremlin...;)
ReplyDeleteShe certainly does!
DeleteOh, I just love the first time a kitten makes a "kill" and gets all growly and possessive! There is nothing funnier than watching a normally silly kitten turn fierce hunter, except maybe watching the faces of her shocked siblings!
ReplyDeleteToo cute! My Abby Gail can get like that and it can be scary. She is no kitten either!
ReplyDeleteTiny Warrior Princess. My goodness she is a fierce wee girl!
ReplyDeleteSo much fierceness-I'm shaking in my boots. gail
ReplyDeleteI had a pistol of a torbie for close to 16 years. These semi-redheads can be fiery but are very loving and possessive. She too had big ears, even as an adult, but this little one's are extraordinary -- and SO cute.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness. She was my favourite kitten before, and those EARS have cemented her in that place. THE EARS!!! I can't even deal with them (if I lived anywhere close to Tacoma I'd be trying to find a way to smuggle her out in my coat pockets, for real.)
ReplyDeleteLittle 'mothers' are the most fierce! They'll need to provide for their 'babies'.
ReplyDeleteSavage cuteness!
ReplyDeleteOur Fizz had the same reaction to the feather wand when he was a kitten. Love the determined kitten faces!
ReplyDeleteThis goes right up there with the Fern Lyttelton "Mine" post on April 3 2010.
