I think Wylla and Charlene are fine with that. That last batch was exhausting, and a little quiet time might do them some good.
I'm going back to the Midwest to visit my family, so I'll be able to share a couple of Nigel and Mimsey updates while I'm there. My plan is to blog lightly while I'm away and concentrate on spending time with family. I'll update every now and again, but it won't be the normal schedule.
Bean and Wylla will be staying home with Craig, and catching up on naps missed while Von Tussle-ing. The girls love their dad, so I know they'll be happy spending quality time with him.
If you need a kitten fix while we're on this break, please dive into the archives and visit some of our previous litters. There's lots to explore there!
Thanks for your patience and understanding.
xo Laurie
Have fun Laurie, you all deserve a good rest :) The girls are in good hands!
ReplyDeleteGive our regards to Mr & Mrs Kitten Whisperer! Can't wait to see what Nigel and Mimsey are up to these days...
Have a wonderful trip! I lived away from my family for 20 years and know how important "visits home" are.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels.
Buddy and Tiger's Mom
Have a wonderful trip, Laurie! The best description I ever heard of Iowa was from a Dar Williams song: "bosomy." Before you go, will you tell us where that AWESOME quilt is from???
ReplyDeleteLove that Wylla yawn!
ReplyDeleteBuddy and Tiger's Mom
Sweet, precious, incredible girls! And so are you, Laurie! Enjoy your time with your family!
ReplyDeleteHave a great trip, Laurie! I always enjoy hearing how Mimsey and Nigel are doing.
ReplyDeleteAnd even world class kitten wranglers like yourselves need a break from the itty bitties from time to time. I hope the time off is relaxing and refreshing for all four of you.

ReplyDeleteYou've done so much for us, sharing pictures of your fosters, your lives, your family. If you want to forget about blogging while you're visiting your family, that's fine with me.
Also (in case I didn't suggest this before) the Davenport Farmer's Market has this great stand that sells flavored dried pasta in dozens of different varieties. I'm not sure if they'll still be there this late in the year. I just like wandering around these markets to look.
Have a fun and relaxing trip!
Have fun! And I LOVE your quilt - such lovely colours and so beautifully modelled by the girls, Jo x
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your trip back to Iowa. Question - did you pick the cat to go with the quilt or the quilt to go with the cat?
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for a Mimsey & Nigel update!!!
Have a lovely time with your folks. We all understand the "downtime" needed with what you do. Looking forward to the snow kitties updates. (Nigel and Mimsey always look like snow kitties to me!)
ReplyDeleteLinda
Please pass along happy greetings to your folks. And their fur-charges Nigel & Mimsey.
ReplyDeleteI am curious who will be more content back here in Tacoma. Craig will surely be catted by his girls and that will be some awesome down-time for all. A 6-pack of kittens seems to be a much, much bigger project than 4. But Charlene, Wylla and y'all enjoyed the chaos and you earned a rest.
Safe journey!
Have a wonderful trip and safe travels!
ReplyDeleteHellos to the Kitten Whisperers and the Frosts!
And to Craig, Miss Butterbean, and Wylla - have cozy cuddles and quiet time.
Enjoy your trip! If you've been through the archive, go visit Love and Hisses (sidebar). Blogger has a batch of kittens that are weapons-grade cute.
ReplyDeleteWishing you happy travels - I believe your folks live in Iowa? The upper Midwest is bursting with beautiful fall colors right now.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful vacation, Laurie! The kitties look like I do when we've had a house full of company. Wylla looks so relaxed- she has her toes curled like India does... I hope you see lots of fall leaves and have a great visit.
ReplyDeleteWe will miss life as we knew it but we will reminisce while anxiously awaiting you return!
ReplyDeleteDear Wylla and Charlene! The quilt sets off your beautiful furs purr-fectly! Please tell your meowmie to have a wonderful trip, during which you will be spending time with your dad and catching up on the all-important naps!
ReplyDeleteOh, you so deserve time off, and we’ll be *fine* while you’re gone. Please give my love to your mom and dad and snuggles to the Frosts.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Craig or Charlene can take a turn at blogging a time or two. I’m sure that’d be interesting. :))
Have a lovely trip--I hope all of you enjoy your well deserved rest.
ReplyDeleteHave a safe, restful, and happy trip.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your break Laurie, you deserve it - and as you say, we can browse through your many beautiful pictures and posts while you're away!
