I was looking for a few Halloween decorations, and ran across Wylla's autumnal owl sweater tucked away in a drawer. I slipped it on her, and was surprised to see that it was such a snug fit on her this season.
Here's a photo of her sporting the sweater last fall. She weighed a hair over four pounds here.
Here's the photo I took yesterday. She weighs six pounds, and her body is much longer now. The sweater doesn't offer the coverage it once did!
Though it doesn't fit properly, I don't think we'll be going sweater shopping. She has a little more meat on her bones now, and doesn't get cold like she used to, so there's no longer a need for kitty outerwear.
What a little fashionista :)
ReplyDeleteOMG!!!! WYLLA!!!
ReplyDeleteWow! It's hard to believe the size difference. Wee Wylla isn't so wee anymore! As for not needing any kitty outerwear, I think she looks cute in it. But I also liked seeing Bean in her costume. The two of them together would make a cute picture.
ReplyDeleteShe's like a tiny Hulk bursting out of her little clothes! Truly adorable, at any size.
ReplyDeleteI just LOL'd in the office!!
DeleteI guess her name will need to be updated to "No Longer So Wee Wylla." That's a dramatic change!
ReplyDeleteWay to grow Wylla! You look so smart in your autumnal sweater.
ReplyDeleteI had that look on my face too when I tried on some winter clothes form last year!
ReplyDeleteHahaha!!! Me too.
Delete:)
LOLOL
DeleteI know the feeling. What the? These jeans must have shrunk in the wash. Yeah, that's the ticket...
DeleteTuesday's Halloween Cat post made me think of Miss Wylla's stylish orange sweater. I'm glad she doesn't need it like she used to.
ReplyDeleteGoodness, how great is that! Jo x
ReplyDeleteHer little sweater sure seems a lot smaller now, like it shrunk in the dryer. :-)
ReplyDeleteso unfair when those sweaters "shrink" like that :)
ReplyDeletegood job wylla!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know, Laurie. Are you sure you didn't set the dryer too high and you're blaming it on Wylla? Hm?
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, she has really grown! It's amazing that just a couple of pounds can make such a big difference in a not-so-wee kitty!
ReplyDeleteWho cares if she *needs* another sweater? ;)
ReplyDeleteGood job growing, wee-but-not-as-wee-as-last-year Wylla!
But Maaa! If I wear this, all the other kids will laugh...
ReplyDeleteToo cute!
Awwww, she looks mortified that her sweater doesn't fit anymore.
ReplyDeleteExactly - my impression of her expression was "My butt is showing!!"
DeleteGo Wylla! Go Wylla!
ReplyDeleteThe owl sweater! I'd forgotten. Oh it's so cute & I'm glad that though it doesn't provide as much coverage, she's wearing it here. She just needs it now for adornment & that's a good thing as we can all agree.
ReplyDeleteExcellent news!
ReplyDeleteThe first thought I had was, "Does this make my butt look fat?" I'm sorry--lol! I'm so glad our wee girl is a healthy 6 lbs.
ReplyDeleteI love her face! She's like, MUM STOP EMBARRASSING ME THIS DOESN'T FIT ANYMORE.
ReplyDeleteSorry, MOM.
Adorable! I don't know if you've seen this yet, but Miss Wylla makes an apperance around 1:30... hilarious!

Yes, Steph. We did see that! Thank!
DeleteThat look on her face - it's like, "What did you do to my favorite sweater??" Poor Wylla - it happens to all of us....
ReplyDeleteThat video was great! Thanks for posting it. She is almost bigger than Zoubi, who is 6 pounds 11 ounces. That is amazing and so wonderful. Wylla still feels as light as a feather though. Must be that fluffy wrapper she has.
