The Tips of Her Teeny-Tiny Toes

Dear little Frieda isn't entirely black. If you take a look at her teeny-tiny toes on her back right foot, you'll see the very tips are white.

See? It's just an itty-bitty bit.

Here's a closer look.

Apparently, she has dipped them in sugar.

  1. She doesn't need to dip anything in sugar. She is sweet just the way she is! Cutie Pie!!!

  3. Cute! I like the dipped-in-sugar idea. My kitties have sox with a couple of "holes" in them.

Most black cats aren't actually black, they're actually very, very dark brown tabbies, the same way black leopards are not solid black, they're very, very dark brown leopards. You can see the stripes of 'black' cats in bright light. 'Black' cats always have a spot of fur (it might be only one or two pieces) that's a different color. My 'black' girl, Maya, has some white fur in her armpits, and white fur has begun to appear in various areas on her head as she's grown older. I tell her she's going grey, but she doesn't seem to care. ;)

  11. Wikipedia has a nice article on black cats. It explains a lot about them.
