A month or so ago, I picked up this cute gingerbread house/cat scratcher at Target, which was an instant with Wylla. I shared a few photos of her enjoying the house, which inspired a few of you to go shopping for a gingerbread house for your kitties, too! When you started sharing images of your cats in their new homes on our
Facebook page, I put out a request for all of you "new home owners" to send us images of your kitties enjoying their new pads. Well, we got more than a few! My inbox was flooded with your adorable cats!
Here they are, a whole city of kitty houses and their cute occupants. Thanks to all who joined in on the fun!
First, here's Wylla nestled into her home.
And Atticus, shop cat at King's Books. We gave him one as an early Christmas gift.
And here are all of your kitties!
The end.
And Target, please take note of these many kitty consumers! Perhaps you could create a cardboard house for other seasons and holidays too. Maybe a love shack for Valentines Day? A haunted house for Halloween with a dangling spider in the doorway? Yes, cats would love that.
Looks like a few of the kitties were like "I'd like an addition to my house here, and here."
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteYes please....what great pictures. Our house gets lots of use (though the snowflake) is long gone....
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, love this! So much cuteness! :)
ReplyDeleteWow! That's a lot of cuteness! Way to go, kitties! Way to go, Target!
ReplyDeleteAwesome new home owners!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Our Olaf jumped in his before we even had the roof on. We had trouble putting it together around the cat!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! I see some very happy and beautiful kitties.
ReplyDeleteToo cute!! The 9th picture from the bottom looks like they are saying "You really think Santa will fit down this chimney?"
ReplyDeleteI may have to break down now and go get one of these for my bunch, if there are any left. And I'd love a haunted house version for Halloween!
You're right, it does. That would be an excellent caption.
DeleteThese are adorable and the cats look like very proud new home owners. Would love to get one but I probably have the one cat on the planet who will not go near a cardboard box.
ReplyDeleteWhen Sophie was about 3 or 4 someone sealed her and another cat in a cardboard box and dumped them in an alley. In spite of that she is the most loving (and trusting) cat I have ever owned...just no boxes at out house.
My kitties also do not like enclosed spaces. I think that is because they were feral cats that someone had dumped in the woods. I had to use a live-trap to capture them and that was probably a very scary experience for them. So boxes in my house are safe from occupation.
DeleteSuch a wonderful compilation of beautiful and clearly loved kitties! Also, an interesting degeneration study of the doorway snowflake :)
ReplyDeleteSadly, I didn't manage to snap a pic of ours before it was demolished by kittens. They dismantled it in less than five minutes, but it was cute while it lasted.
ReplyDeleteThat was heavenly! And Mary H., I'm so glad that Sophie is now with you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great bunch of pictures! Look at all those sweet, happy faces...
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting us in on the fun, Laurie! Our cats are planning for their big paw-tograph parties now that they're on the internet!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing all the pictures. My favorite is the one of the house that's gone completely to pieces around the feline occupant. Why doesn't that surprise me? ;D It's lovely to see some of the feline faces who own the humans who read this blog. They're all so gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLook at all the floofy rear ends and beautiful faces XD Might have to get one but I give it half an hour lifespan in my home.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous kitty city! So many lovely kitties enjoying their new digs!
ReplyDeleteOh gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous and sooooooooooooooooooo funny :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely village!
ReplyDeleteAuntie Em
Simply brilliant... wish these were available in the UK! Jo x
ReplyDeleteOne of those kitties was peeking down the chimney looking for Santa!
