Come Look! The Cats are Doing Something Really Cute Right Now

Do you do this too? Do you holler at your husband, wife, partner, or housemate to come and take a look at that cute thing your cat is doing?

I do. Poor Craig. I badger him constantly.

"Honey, come look at our adorable cats!  Hurry!"

If he doesn't oblige, I'll snap a picture of the adorableness that is happening, text it to him, and then I'll go ask him if he thought it was cute.

I am completely aware of how obnoxious my behavior is, but I can't help myself.

But back me up on this one, friends.  If this scene below was happening in your home, wouldn't you want to know about it?

Yep. Me too.

  1. I only do this about a thousand times a day! I love my cat!!!!!!

  2. Wouldn't we want to know about it???

Don't we check this website at least once a day specifically to see the ADORABLENESS that is Bean and Wylla and/or other furry friends???

    Yes!

The correct answer is HECK YES THEY BRING US SUCH JOY!
(And thank you so much for that, by the way.)

    1. ^^ I totally agree with the above statement! These two are probably totally adorable when they are using the litterbox.... :-)

    2. I agree 100% with the above comments! You all keep a smile on my face with your beautiful pics and comments!!! Thank you very much!!!

  3. Yes, I do this too, including the texting... It's good to know I'm not alone.

  4. Absolutely! I'd be neglecting my caregiving responsibilities if I didn't ooh and aaah over my kitties, as well as Bean and Wylla all day long. And sharing it with spouse is just as important.

  5. I am single, but, honestly - my fluffer cat is just cute constantly. Her very existence is cute. Not that the others aren't cute, but my Bisse is SO cute and I attribute it to her fluff. If I had 2 fluffs I don't know how I could handle the cuteness!

  6. You can't hold in the cute, it HAS to be shared!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Wait, some people DON'T do that? How is that possible? Cuteness shared is exponentially better than cuteness experienced alone.

  8. Ahhhh...best buds forever :)

P.S.: Men just don't appreciate cute as much as we do!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Since it's just me at home with my three fluffs, Facebook & Instagram receive a lot of "OMG THEY ARE SO CUTE" photos from me.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Absolutely! Even though it happens 3-4 times a day, it's always adorable and always worth stopping whatever one's doing and hurrying to come look!

  11. Awwhh, so sweet! I wish my girls enjoyed each others company. I have to laugh though when I see them sleeping on the bed because it's as if there is some invisible line separating the bed into individual sleeping quadrants.

  12. Our two boys are just as devoted as your girls and yes we call one another and take lots of pics. Makes our hearts happy!

  13. Yes, omg. If I'm not taking photo of my cutie, I'm texting links to your Instagram/Twitter feed to friends. It's a sickness. :)

  14. All the time! I know my husband gets sick of hearing, "Come look at your cats!" but he is very patient and usually obliges with minimal sighing and/or eye rolling.

  15. My BF does this as much as I do. We're both pathetic and obsessed lol :P

    ReplyDelete
  16. Hahaha!!! (re. the self-acknowledged "obnoxiousness") :)

Oh yes, indeed, I would want to know about it.

    Such sweet pictures :)

    ReplyDelete
  17. Oh, yes indeed. I do this to LG's dad all the time. "OMG, you have to come see this!"

    ReplyDelete
  18. Oh I love all these comments - we're all in good company!

Yes, for the last year since we got a kitten and the beautiful bond has grown between the older and the younger I do this all day long. As Susan said, you can't hold in the cute, it has to be shared!
And now, with a brand new puppy it's just added to the cuteness (the kitties are so enamored with her and that's just completely adorable too).

All the cuteness needs to be celebrated!

  19. My fella is currently tucked in behind my knees as I lie in bed. He knows he is cute...no doubt about that ;)

  20. Oh yes, that is true. Ours are in front of us at the fireplace every evening and even though they are RIGHT THERE, we still say, "oh look how cute Zoubi is sitting" or "hey. looks like India is about to scare Zou". It is endless. I think Charlene is pretty happy you finally kept one for her.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Yep, tons of "hey, they're being cute" or "two snuggle bunnies" or "access of snorgles"....and then I come here to get more....

    ReplyDelete
  22. Awwwwwwww!! Looks like Wylla's gonna slide off the bed. So much beauty and cuteness in one household!!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Of course I do this. I know, also, that I am not the only one how makes up impromptu songs at the sight of the cats being cute. My cats each have a personalized fanfare I strike up when they walk in the room.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Yes, of course I do these things too. And hubby is a totally traditional man's man, an engineer, a Spock to my Chekhov (Classic ST) if Chekhov were a lady and an artist, but only very rarely does he react with impatience (if he is in the middle of something difficult on the computer). Sometimes it's he who comes to tell me (he is very secure). The difference is that I will say some variation of "Squeeee" and he will say some variation of "Check out the paws..." Cats are so wondrous!-- from Arowyn

  25. They are adorable! Of course, everyone in the house MUST come running to admire them.

    ReplyDelete
  26. How can you not share the cute? It would be incredibly selfish and wrong to keep knowledge of it all to yourself!

    ReplyDelete
  27. More proof that cats are excellent for one's blood pressure, even from afar. Almost every day, I'm tempted to type "Lovely girls, lovely photos." Just the facts, Ma'am.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Oh Yeah, I do this too. I'd have to be kissing Wylla's adorable sleeping face right about now

    ReplyDelete
  29. That sounds very familiar! Just so far today, I probably have texted my wife a dozen pics of various ways my Willow was being crazy cute! And yes, if that kind of kitty cuddling was going on it would be selfish to not share it with others!

  30. My dad does this to me! I do it to him on occasion as well, but to a lesser extent. He'll call me in such a way that I think he needs help, but he just wants to point out something cute my two cats are doing. I can't be upset with him, it's pretty adorable. My scruffy old dad is totally enamored with those two!

  32. Since I'm single, my brother and sister and friends get all the texts from me. I think the universe would implode if we didn't share the cute that is our cats.

  33. I have kids that homeschool. Our number one biggest homeschool distraction are our cats. Everyone wants to cat school! And then there are kitty blogs. And kitty cams.

  34. That's what this world needs more of! Peace and tranquility between peoples, er, funkids!! Please let us know of any updates concerning Squichy. It would be sooo nice for that young man to find his forever home for Christmas!

  35. Synchronised napping for the win!

Smooches for you Beanie and Wylla. So sweet.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Don't feel bad....I do it all the time to my husband. AND I get annoyed if he doesn't look when I tell him to and the "scene" has changed! Grrrrr....

    LOL

  37. awwwww

which reminds mom of a story - a friend of hers adopted a cat from a rescue with mom's help. her husband was "reluctant" to add the cat to the house. however, after about a month, nancy got a call on her cell from her husband - who was in the living room "come look" he said. he was in his chair with both the cat and the dog on his lap - he wanted a picture but didn't want to yell for her and disturb anyone :)

  38. I would absolutely want to know! Charlene and Wylla, you are so sweet!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I do this ALL THE TIME.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hello! Ron and I do that constantly, and now that he’s retired and home, we have even more fun texting each other and yelling, “C’mere!! You gotta see this!!”

You are so not alone, Laurie. xo
