I tried, really, I did, but I guess it takes a little more to impress this pair. Or maybe watching me trying to entertain them is entertainment enough Charlene and Wylla.
Too funny. I go through similar things with Abby. I change up the game(s) which makes it interesting for her. I have feather wands, sparkle balls, and more... She swiped a plastic bottle cap which she chose to play with. < shaking my head >
Love that you get a glimpse that Wylla is sitting 'on the front porch' of her little house, watchin' the world go by. Or at least the sparkle ball. cute!
Hi there, Really enjoy your site. One comment, those balls do the same thing for my cats. I was so excited when I bought them. I thought they were so pretty but ... boring !! I don't think we think like cats !
They may wait until 2:00 AM to start batting those balls around! LOL
ReplyDeleteAh yes, I'm very familiar with that situation. I think cats frequently amuse themselves by ignoring/belittling our efforts to entertain them.
ReplyDeleteBORED. All. The. Time. Especially our older one.
ReplyDeleteI've been there. My cat, Lena, would meow like crazy but show no interest in chasing her foam balls or the laser pointer.
ReplyDeleteMid-winter blahs. Calls for catnip and flashlights! Run the flashlight all over the floor like a laser pointer and watch the mad house!
ReplyDeleteCharlene Butterbean, I like that your tail is tapping all the time! And Wylla, such a lovely petite girl!
ReplyDeleteAnd I thought *I* had lazy cats.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of a classic Monty Python sketch where a couple hires the "Confuse a Cat" service to bring their cat out of its state of ennui.
ReplyDeleteMom, we need kittens. *big cat sigh*

ReplyDeleteThis is about the time I start trying to hit the cats with the soft toys...usually they just continue to lay there and ignore me.
ReplyDeleteYep. Louie goes to great lengths to get me to play with him. But if he doesn't initiate the play, he is usually bored.
ReplyDeleteOh, they are sooo unimpressed. Are they treating you this way because the Christmas tree is still up?

Totally hilarious -- thanks for the chortle, girls!
ReplyDeleteCharlene says, "Mom, I may have shown a little more interest if that was a sparkle ball. Or not."

ReplyDeleteObviously, not cats that play fetch!
ReplyDeleteSubtitled version: (ball sails over Bean's head) Meh-yow...
