First off, thanks for all the sweet words of support yesterday about Wylla and her health. We sure do appreciate all of the well-wishes you've sent us during the two years we've had the wee girl under our roof. It helps. It really does. We're so thrilled she's doing so well, and it's nice knowing it makes you happy, too! You all are the best.
The weather has been absolutely glorious, so Wylla and I stepped out to take a little stroll down our block. She's improving on the leash, but she still has a long way to go before we've got it mastered.
She's getting better at staying on the sidewalk, but it doesn't take much to distract her. Any little noise or smell can cause her to pause.
I took a little video on our walk so you can see how she's doing.
We're going to keep practicing, and hopefully before the nice weather fades, we'll be able to get all the way around the block with her. That is my goal.
Wylla is adorable as always, but can we take a moment to discuss your boot and skirt (dress?) combo? Inquiring minds want to know where you got that awesome outfit.
ReplyDelete: ) Book print dress is by Tommy Hilfiger (Winter 2014) and boots are Melissa Button Boot by Frye.
DeleteCan't blame Wylla for her interest in the world of smells, textures and motion. She feels so god she is noticing things that are 'new' to her.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! So vigilant!! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's hard for my cats to focus long enough to walk in the house through the door I'm holding open for them. They act like they've never done it before, even though if they had their way it would happen 700 times a day.
ReplyDeleteCurious kitty is curious! 😀🐈🐱
ReplyDeleteTaking kitties for walkies requires considerable patience from humans ;-)
ReplyDeleteShe did tremendously well -- so much fun to sense the world through Wylla!
ReplyDeleteWhen I see Wylla she reminds me so much of my own Annabelle. They both have that child like kitten quality. Both are small. Wylla has many more deeper shades in her fur while Annabelle has a lot of white, plus she's tailless! But every time I look at Wylla it feels like I'm looking into the eyes of my own sweet kitty.
ReplyDeleteOh, sweet Wylla! You and your person took a walk together! I enjoyed watching you notice a noise or smell! Happy Friday to Wylla and Charlene, xo!
ReplyDeleteOh, Wylla, you're just so darn cute! Glad to hear that you are doing well and gaining weight.
ReplyDeleteOne of our cats is leash trained, and whenever I tell people about it, I always make it clear that it's not like walking a dog. In this case, the cat decides where to go, and I follow his lead, rather than the other way around. Wylla actually does better than our cat with keeping the forward momentum!
I want to live in your neighborhood so I can sit on the steps and wait for Wylla to go by. I will throw sparkle balls and crumpled up paper for her to pounce on and you'll never make it around the block, but instead will be forced to spend your strolling time in my yard.
ReplyDeleteWasn't sure how to answer the poll... Holly does not like the harness, and every time I've tried to put it on Figaro he runs and hides! I wish we could have success like Wylla! Holly could use the exercise. :)
ReplyDeleteLittle fuzzy radar dishes for ears! :-D
